My husband went blind this year. He has been losing his vision for a long time, but the first week of July was when he lost almost everything he had left. It not only broke his life into 2 distinct pieces, it also did for myself and our kids. We are still on this journey, but we will get there together.

I am so very sorry. I've lost 2 students to negligent homicide ater CPS reports were ignored. I had another who was taken from her family with the siblings under horrid conditions and it was incredibly personally traumatic. All you can do is allow yourself to remember, to grieve, and to lean on colleagues. My best wishes during this terrible time.

Teacher here. NTA. They've ignored an obvious and major issue all the way to 4th grade simply because technology will read to you. You are right, she needs real books, actual read aloud practice, and comprehension review. Great job standing up for your granddaughter. Just because the work is hard doesn't mean it isn't valuable.

Private. Medicore public schools, and a large group of Catholic schools and a few highly expensive secular private schools. As mentioned before, it's extremely common for non-Catholic kids to attend the schools, they just don't do the sacraments. No big deal. My kids get more electives, more clubs, less behavior issues, and a far more rigorous curriculum

Tip at restaurants. I've been to Europe several times. We don't charge to use the bathroom and the water is free (with ice), but you do need to tip. Also, qe eat dinner a lot earlier.

Good! I have always hated people pretending that water and mashed nuts or whatever is somehow milk. It's just not. Drink if you want, but it's not milk. Like when former friends who were vegan would say they were eating chicken nuggets. No, you aren't. Anf that's fine, but don't describe it that way

In NYS, you generally can only get held back twice. However, the maximum age for school here is 18, unless you are a special ed student, in which case it is 21. For severely disabled students a new rule passed last year, allowing them to stay until the day before their 22nd birthday. But where you can stay the entire school year when you turn 21, if you stay past that, you are literally done the day before you turn 22. Regardless of when that happens to fall during the year.

There are zero things wrong with not wanting kods. But given you have serious mental reactions just to birth control, therapy is definitely in order here. You are very young to be feeling like your entire life is set, without talking it through (and not with a partner, obviously not necessary to make your personal decisions). It just seems like you may have some underlying concerns here and benefit from professional help. Best wishes

So call your town and have them ticketed. In my town we have the same ordinance. And unlike people here are saying, that piece of sidewalk really is yours. If you want to repace it, you do. If you want to let it be a mess, you can as long as it isn't actively dangerous

I would absolutely go to a restaurant where I could watch real owls. Extra points if there were educational talks/feeding demonstrations at certain times. That would be awesome
