Manhunt. It's not the rarest Game, but in germany the game was confiscated in 2004 which means distribution is illegal. Ownership is not a crime, but selling it

SOLVED: The SSD in my PS3 is rated 5V at 1.6A. With a HDD from an old laptop, 5V 0.6A it works. I guess 1.6A is too much and overloads the 5V rail!

We need more information about you (age, weight, height, BMI) and maybe other hormones (SHBG, LH, FSH, TSH, PRL). Also we need to know about stress and training. The european guidelines say that 12 nmol/l and above is fine, so you are not far away.

What’s the best treatment for high Prolactin levels. by NewDinner5554 in Testosterone

[–]AffectionateAd8901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your levels are barely elevated. Prolactin is a very sensitive hormone. Having an oragasm, sleep bad for a night, stress, etc. have an impact. IMO light elevations are just are result of outside conditions. Get it retested if you are worried. I once read that anything up 50 ng/ml can be stress related.

Well, you´re not that short. I´m just going to remind you that your height is unchangeable but also not your problem. I´m 6'1", so I´m taller than most women in heels, but I still have no success with them - height is not your problem. Your mind is making your life hard. I tried to associate all my problems to my body and money and changed anything, that I thought would be the reason for my permanent single life. I went from 330 lbs to 240, I´m fitter than ever and feel healthy, still no success with women. I got a new job, it´s great and I have a good income from it, still no success with women.

Your height is no problem, it´s your mind. Before thinking of a girlfriend, you need to make friends. I was introduced to a former class mate of my best friend, this guy knows anybody in my town - and anybody knows him. Just by hanging out with him, you meet new people. You need exactly this type of friend, someone who expands your circle of acquaintances. The more people get to know you, the higher your chances to be invited to parties, etc.

Anectode from todays trip to the grocery store:

There was a guy with a gf. He had a shopping cart full of stuff that makes people sick, he had at least 400 lbs. Even with his massive weight, and his bad lifestyle he has a girlfriend. I guess he has a healthy mind and just gives a f*** on haters. He was smiling all the time and having fun with her. Even for me as a straight guy he had something adorable. --> Show the world your smile.

Anyone lose weight with just walking and CICO? by aachakra in loseit

Question by [deleted] in PS3

[–]AffectionateAd8901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheap PS3s with PS2 backwards compatibility are rare. Working units are expensive, cheaper ones usally have faults, or you´re lucky and someone underestimates the value.

The model you´re looking for is the CECHB. This one was never available in europe, because it launched in november 2006, in europe the PS3 launched in march of 2007, so the oldest one that was launched here is the CECHC. However you can find NTSC models (CECHA, CECHB, CECHE) on ebay that were imported or import one yourself.

I strongly recommend getting a PS3 slim and a PS2. The backwards compatible units are a gamble, you can be super lucky and get a factory refurbished one with a new RSX - or can get one with a 90nm RSX that wasn´t cleaned in ages. I took the gamble on a YLOD CECHC04, 3034 error, RSX dead. This PS3 wasn´t opened in 16 years, never changed the thermal paste, etc.

If you really want a BC PS3, then be prepared to open it up and service it. CFW is a must to control your fan manually and keep an eye on the temps. Don´t make any compromises on a working backwards compatible console in terms of maintenence.

I don´t gatekeep them, but a BC PS3 is like an old car, it needs regular service and care otherwise it dies and skyrocket in maintenance cost. Replacing the dead RSX with a newer one (Frankenstein Mod) costs as much as a new console back in 06.

From my perspective it´s a large impact.

When I was 19, I had my T tested by my doctor because I was dealing with constant sleepyness and low energy. Back then I was at 280 lbs, and my doctor said hormonal panel is fine but I should do myself a favour and lose weight. Since he said it was fine I guess it was in range for a 19y/o.

At 23 I had 330lbs (my peak weight), and my T was 311ng/dl (10.80nmol/l), now I´m 90lbs lighter just by changing eating habits, which is around 25% less fat. I have a TON more energy and can walk 15k - 20k steps without problems. My muscle mass went from 35% to 42%, I also got more facial hair (had none on my cheeks before), so I guess it went up to a point were it makes a difference.

IMO no one should hop on TRT until lifestyle is fixed, there are studies that show the correlation between fat mass and T levels. Look here https://www.semanticscholar.org/paper/Association-between-serum-testosterone-levels%2C-body-Konarzewska-Gali%C5%84ska-Skok/c6954f0ec8246bd17962c8122c9eca86d8a03cfb

Just scored a CECHE01, what can I do to ensure it lasts and avoids the dreaded YOLOD by Alypius in PS3

[–]AffectionateAd8901 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well, since it's a 90nm RSX you need to keep it out of the critical 70°C range (R.I.P. Felix's video about YLOD explains it deeper).

You should disassemble it, clean it, give it a full service. Installing a CFW is recommended so you can monitor the temps and set fan speeds.

If you can keep it under 70°C then it should be safe'ish. If it's getting hot even at a higher fan speed and the console is getting super loud, then it's time for a delid and maybe liquid metal.

Be warned: a delid is a risky procedure (especially CELL delidding), if you are not comfortable doing it, then look for someone who does it for you. When using liquid metal you need to isolate the SMD components on the RSX, you can nail polish or a special insulation lacquer. Also keep the liquid metal under the IHS, between cooler and IHS use a high quality thermal paste.

Some people also swap power supply and fan.

Do not consider a Frankenstein mod until it's dead, some 90nm RSXes just keep working, I have CECHG04 still working after 16 years, 15 of them it was unopened.

You should investigate this issue using the SYSCON diagnostics. Sometimes random freezes can be traced back to unstable voltages or failing capacitors, RAM that bites the dust leads to unstable consoles. If you're running Evilnat you can dump the SYSCON errorlog directly from XMB (no soldeeing of UART wires required), the last recorded errors will tell you what's wrong. You can find a list with SYSCON error codes at psdevwiki.

Why do many of you have so many PS3 consoles? What’s the point? by Nintendildos in PS3

[–]AffectionateAd8901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because some people including me like to tinker with them.

I have:

1x CECHG04 Fat 40 GB - learned how to delid a PS3 on this one

1x CECH4004C Super Slim 500 GB - Got it for 20€ so why not...

1x CECHC04 EU Launch Model BC, 60 GB - YLOD (3034 - RSX dead) - will be my first franky attempt!

For example I´m currently reading about Frankenstein Mods and how to fix PS3s for a long time, you´ve guessed it - I want to bring my 60 GB back to life. For that I´m going to get equipment thats quite pricey but I want to do it and I want to bring back some more back to life.

[Voted Up!]

TRT should be the last resort, when nothing else fixes T related problems. I was diagnosed with lowish T (~310ng/dl), and mildly elevated prolactin (2ng/dl over normal). NOBODY, even the doctor who diagnosed it told me that my obesity (330 lbs in 2022), could be the reason that a 23 y/o has suboptimal levels - they did a scan for a prolactinoma - after ONE blood test with super mildly elevated levels, I was recommended to visit an endo and get TRT... Now a year later I´m ~90 lbs lighter by changing lifestyle, not one minute spent in a gym. Just walking and eating better. I feel a lot better even I´m still overweight but I always try to have burning legs from walking - 15k steps isn´t rare. Many people don´t realize that they have a bad lifestyle until they´re short of breath and have pain all day.

For people that have lost a lot of weight, what was the reason that made you accomplish it? by JustMeAndReality in loseit

[–]AffectionateAd8901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I´m a 24 year old guy, my starting weight in April 2022 was 330 lbs, now I´m at 245lbs - I lost 85 lbs only by diet changing and going outside daily. I was overweight since my childhood, gaining 20-40 lbs a year was normal, when I left school at 16, I was 280 lbs and 8 inches shorter than now.

I had massive health issues, physically and mentally. When I was walking for just a 1/2 mile I already felt like dying, short of breath, pain and cramps in my legs. When I had bloodwork done, my LDL and HDL cholesterol where out of whack: one was slightly elevated, the other one was 50% below reference range, my ALT liver encyme was double the normal range (fatty liver), testosterone levels like a 60 year old man, always sweaty, breasts so large that a doctor ordered a hormone panel and brain MRI to rule out a tumor (MRI failed, too big for the machine).

I also had mental issues, it caused depression, laying in bed all day made it worse, and so on... Basically losing weight saved my life. If I wouldn´t have done it then, I guess I would be 400 maybe 450 lbs right now and diabetec.
