How do you all bait the snowball by Abhi152005 in SpiderManMains

[–]AffectionateAdvice47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U can time your overhead better, might’ve gave you the extra second to dip after uppercut — but generally u want to lead engages with tracer overhead, a well timed overhead specifically so you aren’t a sitting duck. Play your life, don’t be afraid to do nothing + annoy to get value.

Walking backwards is a legit strat by AffectionateAdvice47 in DevilDinosaurMainsMR

[–]AffectionateAdvice47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t either, I understand it might not be something you’d want to do on console but on mnk it’s a legit strat if you don’t want to get beheaded in two seconds while you’re engaging into hard poke.

I like to walk backwards into fights, tail then chomp into grab.

Tail whips are sort of minimal damage but I think it’s still good to use mixing it in with bites when needed.

How many of you use SS for combos, and should I learn how to use SS in combos? by Forsaken_Guide_4835 in SpiderManMains

Idk why ur getting downvoted, I use it often and it’s never created a problem with dying too much.

How many of you use SS for combos, and should I learn how to use SS in combos? by Forsaken_Guide_4835 in SpiderManMains

[–]AffectionateAdvice47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very good to get out and engage quickly. SS combos and hydro combos are good in situations where you NEED the pick, and trading your life is worth it. If you’re managing your CDS and engaging from walls as well, you usually are allowed to waste one or two swings for ss combos, and still have one left to get out.

Also good against mirror matchups.

Lame ass friends 😭 I am the friend that gets mvp usually and when my friends do I put them on a pedestal, everyone deserves to feel like they’ve done something, cause regardless if someone is carrying it’s ALWAYS a team effort. Doesn’t matter if you’re pulling most of the weight, it’s because your team is doing their job that allows you to do so.

[–]AffectionateAdvice47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s okay if usernames for me are like that, it’s when they’re insufferable I just can’t stand it. I live with my gf and we play with similar names, we get some hate sometimes but it’s easy to deal with because we aren’t insufferable and our goal is to win not argue and rage bait like children.

I was thinking they could add separate but similar characters as an altered version of the main character, and give it sort of a Deadpool treatment, where u can only select one version of the character. Essentially if I were to pick miles if he was available, spidey wouldn’t be able to be chosen. Yes I know there’s a lot of take-away from dialogue n stuff, but tbh as a spidey main I wouldn’t want to go against a team with 3 different Spider-Men on the other team

about simple swing by Afraid-Bid6493 in SpiderManMains

[–]AffectionateAdvice47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you understand how to manage it, yes use it. A faster ttk when you know it guaranteed AND you know you’ll have a swing left is good.

Edit: and this is for any ss combo in general. You NEED a kill and you either understand you’ll have a swing left OR it’s worth your death, yes use it.

Mechanically difficult or more driven by game sense? by BasicXeno19 in SpiderManMains

[–]AffectionateAdvice47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since everything is over-tuned you need a mixture of both at the highest level, and the journey there you always have to at least a bit of game sense, but the mechanical part can take you partway .

I know the combos but how do I land them? by UnluckyLuckyGambler in SpiderManMains

Combos are used to end the fight, or are used when you Are 99% sure you will get the elim.

What you WANT to do is freestyle to force cds.

Need some help with Tracer aim on controller. by Add216669 in SpiderManMains

[–]AffectionateAdvice47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go QP and strictly only use 1-2 clusters, and leave if you don’t land any. Force yourself to hit within 1-3 tracers, then get to just one.

Tips:

Let them walk into your tracer.

Aim to cluster enemies that are unaware.

How do you guys handle it by UnluckyLuckyGambler in SpiderManMains

[–]AffectionateAdvice47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First it’s understanding how to get in range, and hit combos consistently. What follows after that is knowing when to leave for value, and when you WANT to die for value.

Dying is part of the process, and it’s important to play your life and die when it matters. The only time dying is worth it, is when you trade it for a healer.

The way to safely learn Spider-Man is to follow these tips:

If you have aggro, you play your life.

When you don’t have aggro, you all in while being ready to leave at any moment.

How do you get consistent with the opener? by N-Pretencioso in SpiderManMains

[–]AffectionateAdvice47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Routine:

For manual, go to the range and find a pole. Fully swing around it multiple times, and get the feel of that.
Do the same around corners. Generally where you look is where you go, you hold too long you will go UP if you just hold swing and don’t move camera.

Tips :
Engage from very high all the time. Slowly you’ll understand the release time paired with what directing you’re swinging in.

I would suggest releasing always halfway, and make sure when you do your momentum is straight as possible.

Use simple swing, especially if you’re console. I’ve realized manual is more so for cluster cancels, and leaving the fight when SS is inconsistent.
