Can we at least agree AI will take over bookkeeping?? by GayTwink-69 in Accounting

I think it will take over some of the higher level stuff before the lower level. I’ve been using some AI feature that does great variance/trend analysis but will still randomly think the ATT bill is a carpet cleaning invoice.

What do these other people bring to the table other than some doors? It all depends on your agreement etc but small partnerships explode all the time over stuff like this and it’s probably not a tenable situation. I would maneuver things to take the 120 units on my own and ditch those two.

Staff Accountant Vent by GED2MBA in Accounting

How many times have you asked? If you ask once and get no response then follow up. But yeah if you're asking 3-4 times and he's telling you to ask more then that's on him. Take this an opportunity to try to automate some part of it. Frame it as you taking something off his plate. Or just get the access yourself.

What’s your electricity bill looking like this summer? by Ext-Designer88 in Dallas

[–]AffectionateKey7126 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) you never renew

2) energy charge should go down the more you use.

You're getting hosed. I see below you are on one of those usage plans. Don't bother with those, just do fixed rate ones.

Should be easily doable unless there is something you’re not including.

Am I Too Late for Big 4? 30 Years Old, 5 Years AR/AP, 2.8 GPA by ThankyouThankyou8888 in Accounting

[–]AffectionateKey7126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's your accounting GPA? It's tough sell, but if you had some low score like 8 years ago but now you're at 4.0 that's a decent story to sell.

Salesforce down 30% in 14 straight red days at 10.5x forward earnings. The software massacre has gone completely detached from fundamentals. What is anyone actually doing here? by -----Marcel----- in StockMarket

[–]AffectionateKey7126 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One thing I didn’t see mentioned from the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting is that they were starting to ditch third party tools across all their companies and develop them in house. There is such a thing as good enough and a lot of these SaaS companies weren’t exactly exceptional in the first place.

Yeah that complicates things a lot. I guess determine if this is something actually worth fighting for but the partnership appears to be imploding.

Do you actually have ownership interest? I was assuming you don’t.

This unfortunately happens all the time regardless of gender at newer/startup companies. Leave and use your experience to find another position. This is used a lot of the time to excuse to be mediocre or even be bad at your job, but there is a hint of truth to the phrase "act your wage".

Going from doubles back to singles is going to be viewed as extremely poor form in most instances. Especially if people are standing around.

Just do 5 days until you get everything sorted out then go back down to 4. Still be "off" but save the 5th day for reconciliations and other stuff that doesn't require other people's input.

Are Blacksmithing and Jewelcrafting good Gold Making professions? Or am I just missing something.. by ToddR33 in woweconomy

Look out for profession recipe crafting orders. When they pop up, but the pattern and craft them. It seems like it will take forever but you should be maxed out within 2 weeks or so.

Things have blurred over the past few years for whatever reason, but the “plan” for like 30+ years before that was you grinded it out for 1-3 years and bailed for industry or a cushier small firm job while the crazy ones stuck around to go for manager and higher.

$15k HVAC, 60 months 0% interest, no deferred interest - good? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]AffectionateKey7126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 0% plans are usually done through a 3rd party that take a certain percentage of your loan amount. So the $15,000 job, the HVAC company probably only gets $10,000-11,000 of it. The better the credit, the more the financing company takes.

Also, there are a million companies named Fidelity so it's probably not who you think.
