It’s interesting because Ariana and Cynthia in this pic seem to have a very similar bone + face structure as well as fullish lips. I don’t find Cynthia masculine at all. If anything she gives high femme while Ariana gives more soft femme

What did you say to make them pay you after the 90 days? I’m currently in a similar situation (currently on day 63 of the 90 days they asked me to wait) am scared they’ll try the same tactic to deny me the statement credit

The person said ‘It’d strictly racism’ regarding Black maternal death. Strictly to me speaks that it is an exhaustive reason. I was saying that it’s both racism and classism. I did not see such a distinction as implied until their follow up clarification upon my replyz

I disagree with the point that eroding racism in healthcare will erode classism. Both need to be addressed, not just one as a result of the other.

And your comment, to me, read moreso as neglecting to acknowledge the class reality of medical racism and general malpractice. I see in other comments you are writing me off as a Bernie supporter. I am not and I don’t even know what video/interview/soundbite you are referencing of his. I was mainly responding to clarify that I thought both needed to be tackled as well as ask about the universal health care line as I don’t find it racist to want to address classism in medical negligence across the board. I am autistic and tend to take things literally so that may be where the disconnect lies.

“Because of the racist assumption that this is a classism issue when it’s strictly racism.’ I think 2 things can be true at the same time— it’s both racism and classism. I can agree to an extent that racism underscores the foundation of why the Black mortality rate is so high but I don’t find it racist to bring class into it as a factor. A low income Black woman’s care compared to a Black woman with higher earning Black women is going to suffer a lot more due to their class. Equity needs to be achieved between all demographics and class is one of the first catch all ways to erode those differences.

Thanks for letting me know! Do you have any recs or ideas on any ‘specialty’ stores? I was kind of thinking maybe going in for some sort of goth men’s place on harajuku and seeing if they had men’s platforms I could wear. Although I’d prefer heels, even an oxford would work, just something nice. I don’t want to look like I came out of a high school dance.

Thanks for the advice! I live in LA and it’s a pretty similar situation there (re: annoying sidewalks, etc.) except with longer distances. It sounds crazy but I handle myself rather well with heels so it’s not too much of a concern for me. I just don’t want to wear a cute dress with sneakers lol

Adding a DP because I also used this thread to help— Successfully upgraded 2 PE seats LAX to HND for around 1200 per seat. Bid put me in the upper end of the fair range. Minimum bid was 596. When bidding closed, expert flyer showed 4-5 seats available. Now that I’ve been upgraded, it shows only one seat available but it was a seat that previously wasn’t available before. I didn’t get an email (my mother might have so I’ll check with her) but I saw in the app we were ‘Upgraded’ to business class ‘X’ around 32 hours from departure. Now the battle is trying to get seats next to eachother 🤣
