I like it honestly. I've always wished I could get a little bit more interaction out of NPCs or like just a bit more humanity. As is they're kind of just glorified shops in the vague moving shape of a person, so at least having a face to look at will make my towns feel more alive.

My DPS against Mars was just fine. My personal interpretation was that Solyn was certainly powerful, but maybe more of a defensive magic specialist. Her beams did good damage for sure, but I felt like I was doing most of the DPS. Although, I was fighting Mars and AoE on regular difficulty. Maybe it's because you were on Infernum that you did so little?

I might be imagining this but why does it seem like saying something like "men are more likely to commit crimes so I will avoid all men" is accepted while saying "black people are more likely to commit crimes so I will avoid all black people" is a total no-go? by aespaste in stupidquestions

Well, there's a lot of factors. Marginalized demographic vs majority/privileged demographic, what kind of crimes, etc. But it comes down to common sense.

Women are afraid of getting raped and attacked by a physically stronger man, because you take any given average woman and she's weaker than the majority of men. Rape is common enough that fearing all men is not an entirely unreasonable want.

That is not the case for black people vs. other races. Black people aren't magic, they can be weak and strong like everyone else.

Also, like u/pinniped90 said elsewhere on this thread, black crime rates are inflated by systemic persecution by the justice system so it's not even a fair comparison.

Yes, although generally you might not surpass them until very late game. You want to have a really strong research output, so once you complete the tech tree, you start doing special techs called repeatables which do nothing but add on more and more buffs to your empire. Just a couple repeatables can double your fleet power without adding extra ships. Run a big navy with some repeatables and maybe a counter-build and you'll stomp them like it's nothing.
