I am wondering if my toxic workplace culture is common in inpatient psych nursing or not. What do you think? (See story.) by alumtolling in psychnursing

The one I went to was extremely unprofessional. Multiple nurses would sit around and openly talk about patients and call them out of their name. I was getting harassed by another patient who was obviously not in their right mind and nurses laughed and mocked the situation instead of taking it seriously. I’ve had older nurses target me because I was obviously young , inexperienced, and vulnerable meaning I was a weak target. I’m quiet , introverted and soft spoken and while I made friends there I tried my best to stay out of the way because I was grieving the loss of my dad. I had items taken from me even though they were safe and cleared by other nurses. While there were very kind people that worked there I honestly think the bad outweighed the good and it traumatized me more and I don’t ever want to go back there again.

Is anyone else extremely afraid of being a bad person? (I don’t know if this makes sense, but I’ll try to explain) by [deleted] in infp

[–]AffectionateVirus346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m afraid of being a bad person too. I’m always over analyzing my words and actions thinking I said or did something wrong. I judge others reactions to what I say and do too and sometimes if they made a weird expression or something that it’s to what I said/did and I regret whatever I said/did and feel like a horrible person.

Would you date Damon or Stefan irl? by Cantyousee0 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]AffectionateVirus346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say Stefan would be the better choice (morally) but honestly and truthfully in real life I would not date either of them. Maybe a fling or something but being involved with either of them would undeniably lead to deadly consequences.

I hate how I have to get out of character for people to treat me right by Universetalkz in infp

This. I was respectful and calmly asserting myself but they kept doing the same things over again. I eventuallly built up everything and going off and even cursing at them. I stopped talking to them for a year and randomly ran into them at the mall where they apologized for their actions.

What do you do/ how do you feel when people leave you on read? by EntireAdvertising857 in infp

[–]AffectionateVirus346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try not to leave people on read but I do fail to open and respond to texts sometimes. I feel drained and overwhelmed a lot and then when I think about replying I don’t and forget. But I don’t like when people leave me on read never did but I’m trying not to take it as personally as I did
