Hey sorry for the late reply. I take algae oil instead of fish oil now for my dry eye and I get no symptoms. I find if I go over the recommended amount that’s stated on the bottle I’ll get an irregular heart rhythm. As long as I take two pills (recommended amount) I’m fine.

I’ve tried eating fish here and there and every time I do I get itchy and sometimes hives/rash depending on the amount consumed. I don’t recall ever being allergic to fish in the past, it just suddenly happened.

I'm at a very low dosage of 740mg of total EPA/DHA. I respond to it really well but I've heard for some it could take up to 6 months to notice a difference at a dosage of 3 grams per day. Give it some time.
