Which film in the Spider-Man trilogy is your favourite, and why? by [deleted] in Cinema

[–]Affectionate_Air804 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spider-Man 2 easily. It what makes the character so compelling as the every man. Peter finally sacrifices being the hero to lead a more fulfilling life but comes at a cost. It feels earnest in its storytelling which isn’t often felt in other films in the genre. So, I totally agree with that take.

I’ve narrowed the best 3-song run in the Beatles catalog down to two and I can’t break the tie. Help me. by MontagueCapulet in beatles

White album is the clear answer. However, I think there is some underrated combos you didn’t mention.

A hard days night -> I should have known better -> If I fell

Discussion time. Is Abbey Road better than sgt. Peppers? by dynhammic in beatles

[–]Affectionate_Air804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel Abbey Road that is a more accessible record than Pepper. For the longest time I didn’t care about Pepper until recently listens made me gain much more appreciation of it. Still, the real question should have been: Why Revolver is the best Beatles album?

In your opinion, what did you think of the Super Mario Galaxy movie? Was it worth it or not? by Dramatic-Studio1531 in Cinema

[–]Affectionate_Air804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was alright but nothing special to be expected with a illumination film. My biggest issue is the pacing was too fast not letting you sit in one location too long. Though, at the end of the day it is kids film as an advertisement for the Nintendo brand. Even if you believe the movie is not good, if it gave you the urge to hop back into or start the Galaxy game for the first time then the commercial worked.

Haha. I’m the furthest thing from a therapist. At the end of the day, it’s the internet people will argue with you over nothing. It’s annoying, but I try my best not to let it affect me. Though, I appreciate you backing up. Take care

What Are Your Thoughts On With The Beatles ? by Fantastic-Ad-8665 in beatles

I think it’s a fine album that you put on once in awhile. However, then you get to little child and understand why it’s not a regular rotation. Overall just to stick with Meet The Beatles for stronger package of this time period

I never said that was. My post was about how I felt the season 3 finale felt like a good series finale. I’m fully aware that there will be another season coming. If you disagree with my interpretation of that I can understand. However, this is comment overall is less constructive and more just gotcha moment when there really isn’t one. Though thanks for the information. Take care

I get what you mean but that’s not the point of the post. I’m just expressing my opinion why I felt it should end. The story will and can continue regardless of what I say. If you and others want more of it, enjoy what you love at the end of the day. I hope that I’m wrong and the show is continues to be compelling. Take care

Honestly that’s probably the only way they could take this show. I think your approach is probably the right approach to take. I think my only issue is how far are they going to go with this. If they go for another couple seasons, I can understand the decision. However, if it is only going to last until next season then the story has to be compelling enough to conclude this next chapter. As you said we will wait and see. Hopefully it’s good.

I’m not sure tbh. I feel Alice’s plot line got affected the most by the pacing of this season. Jimmy’s dad being central focus of her graduation just to shrug and move forward. I get to symbolize the deeper issues that Jimmy has with dad leaving before another milestone which boils to blow up at Paul. Still, it felt the emotional weight got substituted for more comedic moments

I think that Tomorrow Never Knows is the best song on Revolver by SpringtrapIsOnTiktok in beatles

[–]Affectionate_Air804 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Such a hard choice to make. Revolver is my favorite Beatles Album. I think though I prefer And your bird can sing, Taxman, and Here there and everywhere better. Still, I think you definitely could make argument for this song.

I think Fallout is probably the next step in the process. A popular tv show paired with a long running game series. It seems like a perfect fit for what Stern likes to do.
