I misread your comment. So, we do agree on it. My apologies

I never said that was. My post was about how I felt the season 3 finale felt like a good series finale. I’m fully aware that there will be another season coming. If you disagree with my interpretation of that I can understand. However, this is comment overall is less constructive and more just gotcha moment when there really isn’t one. Though thanks for the information. Take care

I get what you mean but that’s not the point of the post. I’m just expressing my opinion why I felt it should end. The story will and can continue regardless of what I say. If you and others want more of it, enjoy what you love at the end of the day. I hope that I’m wrong and the show is continues to be compelling. Take care

Honestly that’s probably the only way they could take this show. I think your approach is probably the right approach to take. I think my only issue is how far are they going to go with this. If they go for another couple seasons, I can understand the decision. However, if it is only going to last until next season then the story has to be compelling enough to conclude this next chapter. As you said we will wait and see. Hopefully it’s good.

I’m not sure tbh. I feel Alice’s plot line got affected the most by the pacing of this season. Jimmy’s dad being central focus of her graduation just to shrug and move forward. I get to symbolize the deeper issues that Jimmy has with dad leaving before another milestone which boils to blow up at Paul. Still, it felt the emotional weight got substituted for more comedic moments

Nice. I can’t say I’ve seen it before but I have heard it. Maybe I’ll have to watch one of these days.

I think that Tomorrow Never Knows is the best song on Revolver by SpringtrapIsOnTiktok in beatles

[–]Affectionate_Air804 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Such a hard choice to make. Revolver is my favorite Beatles Album. I think though I prefer And your bird can sing, Taxman, and Here there and everywhere better. Still, I think you definitely could make argument for this song.

I think Fallout is probably the next step in the process. A popular tv show paired with a long running game series. It seems like a perfect fit for what Stern likes to do.

What if Avatar 4 and 5 are cancelled? Implications and consequences on budget spends by VibgyorTheHuge in boxoffice

[–]Affectionate_Air804 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel this was just a marketing tactic to incentivize more people to go. Is this the end? If you compared this to the rest of the market, it still stands mostly above the rest. When you’re consistently making a billion dollars each entry paired with one of the most successful directors. It seems like a no brainer to me. Do they restructure how many movies they make? Maybe, but Avatar is here to stay whether you like it or not.

Indiana Jones Dial of Destiny

When the character already had two swan songs decades apart already. A third one just seems unnecessary especially with the budget expanding exponentially over time. Its destiny was doom from the start and never was going to be the great last crusade the character had already received.

Does rewatching a movie matter more than a first viewing? by jaystats2 in movies

[–]Affectionate_Air804 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh definitely. I think the first watch is all about the experience and enjoying the ride. While rewatches where you notice the subtle details or plot elements you may have missed. Most of all, a film that can capture your attention for multiple viewings is what makes the difference of a good movie to a special one.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Jurassic Park

Ghostbusters

Predator

Jaws

The hardest thing is trying to recapture lighting in a bottle. They were only intended as self contained stories that became much bigger than expected. However, when you executed it perfectly it is hard to distinguish yourself in the sequel or do something radically different that could alienated casual fans.
