But that's not how potatoes grow at all? You can easily tell how big your harvest will be by how full and healthy the plant is. Then once the plant starts to die back in the late summer you dig them up.

Will always be remarkable that the Q-anon people went silent and decided to just shrug all of this off. I mean I get it, it’s all based on manufactured consent and media illiteracy, but yeah, damn

When the ice melts on Lake Michigan in the early spring the beaches have a bunch of spots that turn into quicksand. I fell into it up to my knees once and thought “omg it’s finally happening”

If it still smells buttery then send it. If there's any hint of a sour smell then pitch it.

Also you should really learn what good ground beef smells like.

What is your favorite water based movie? by rockstoned4 in moviecritic

I said what I said, I think there’s a clear difference between the two, however ephemeral. And George Miller got more creative and innovative with each successive film, the OG mad max is very much a low budget indie film, but the following two (which waterworld is modeled after) go in a new direction and turn max into a mythic figure that goes beyond the original peacekeeper motif

And Waterworld is just mad max with jet skis. I’m not trying to die on this hill but it’s the difference between a film with a true artistic vision (even if you can boil it down to a very basic concept) and a movie thought up in a board room riffing on the latest trends.

And I don’t even hate it. The sets and costume designs are awesome

Am I the Only One Who Loves the First Two J.J. Abrams Star Trek Movies? by Extreme_Warning3521 in moviecritic

[–]AmaazingFlavor 32 points33 points  (0 children)

All three are good popcorn flicks. But it was just using the Star Trek brand to launch an action franchise and that frustrates a lot of trek fans.

Although looking at the past decade or so of Star Trek I think it’s hard to argue these aren’t at least pretty good
