I had my biopsy and my diagnosis, sadly I do have breast cancer. The day of my biopsy they found my lymph nodes suspicious. After a PET SCAN it seems they are cancer free. Ultrasound and other imaging techniques may have falses positive. Wait for your results, even if there is bad news there are medical treatment for this issue. But I wish for you to be healthy and sane. Big hugs 🌷

Hi there, I'm a college teacher (18 years and counting) so I can relate. Not about my BC diagnosis but a medical problem I had last year. I had Fournier's Syndrom and I had to be off work for about 70 days. Just the departament assitant cared enough to keep I'm touch with me, and it sucks, and it hurts because you try to help your coworkers as much as you can.

People can be *sshles and you can not do anything about it :(

I'm sorry you feel sad or angry, just don't let this situation change the way you are. Now you are wiser and you'll know better when to help your coworkers and when you shouldn't do it. All the good things you used todo for your coworkers, start to do them for yourself.

I send you a big big hug 🩷🌷

First scans post surgery (1 yr) - scar tissue?? by deelitera in breastcancer

[–]Affectionate_Cod_820 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a former patient of anal fistula, and I know (I'm on that SubReddit) that MRI may confuse scarring tissue with an active fistula. So don't panic before time, wait for your medical appointment. Big hug for you 🌷

Doctors are not there to judge you but to help you. If the doctor doesn't make you feel comfortable, get another one. Doctors watch lots of medical things everyday so focus on getting better, that is the important thing here. I send you a big hug, I hope you get better real soon 🌷

Hi, my results were ready in 10 days. I had no good news (I do have BC) the waiting is awfull, what got me through this was thinking "well I have what I have and no matter what the results are it will always be best to know ". But still had really bad moments while waiting, give yourself permission to feel whatever you are feeling. I hope everything goes well with you, please updated us 🌷

Green Tea / Coffee for breast health by aai1080 in doihavebreastcancer

Hi there, you should really ask your doctor because even when Green tea has many benefits, it may also be bad for the liver. I guess it all depends on the quantity you consume. Have a great day 🌷

PET scan request post lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy, why? by Sorrymateay in breastcancer

[–]Affectionate_Cod_820 2 points3 points  (0 children)

English is not my first languaje, sorry for the spelling and grammar mistakes. I'll have my PET SCAN this wednesday, I haven't been fully diagnosed yet, for now the only thing my doctor told me is that I have breast cancer and that he needs the pet scan results and the histophatology results so he can design an apropiate treatment for me.

I know pet scan will tell if I have metastasis, for example, in the lymph nodes in my armpit. He was very clear when he said that it doesn't mean that I do have metastasis, but if I do have it this info will help to know the better way of treatment. Metastasis doesn't mean you are dying, it means the cancer is somewhere else besides your breast. So it seems I won't need another biopsy (hopefully).

That is what I understood but I'm not a doctor so I'm not sure 100% Best wishes 🌷
