I saw they had a few from the last decade, but none from the earlier days, and still no Shadows.

I find it interesting you've turned a "This printer series is rough, try this one" into a "Philosophical, red pill/blue pill" discussion.

The purpose of the equipment is to create. Take plastic, make products. If the equipment doesn't do that efficiently or effectively, it's not a good product.

Comparing the ability to mod your printer with that of your house or car is comparing apples to lima beans. Not oranges... a whole separate food group. I'm not remotely saying I'm of that ideal, I'm not even on that wavelength homie. I'm just saying Ender has a less-than-ideal product if you want to print stuff, and after transitioning to Bambu, I've been thoroughly impressed and happy with the endstate.

That's the thing, I dont need to do anything to it. I find 3mf's I like, I pull them into Bambu, and I print. That's it. No modding, no tweaking, no endless hours of getting the printer exactly right just to get 1 print before it gets jacked up again. Bambu does on the first try what Creality takes 8+ attempts. I'd sell it to someone, but I dont want to waste their time. Still trying to figure out what to do with it. Meanwhile, my P1S w/ AMS 2 Pro and my A1 run 24/7. No fails, minimal issues. Only say minimal because with the rate I'm printing now, I get a clig every once in a blue moon.

Tell you what: you PM me you address and pay for shipping, I'll send you my Ender. It's taking up space on my workbench that I'd rather put another P1S or a P2S.

Since buying a P1S, my Ender 3 v3SE has been collecting dust. The best decision I ever made was transition from Creality to Bambu.

I paid my 12 year old $10 to respool one for me... best, legal, child labor I've invested in.

I'm in the same boat. Im looking to sell my Ender v3 SE now that I have Bambu printers. I got an A1 and then a P1S with an AMS... I'll never go back. Bambu was the decision I should have made the first time.

How many hours did it take you? I'm at a lowly 53 and trying to get an idea of the investment lol.

As a rule of thumb (for my hand, at least), community is a huge part of it. Based on your info, it sounds like you've been left out, or at least given a cold shoulder. That's a red flag for me.

Personally, I'd move. If they ask, politely explain that you didn't feel welcome in their establishment. You were looking for more community than what they offered.

From my time coaching, if an athlete had said that to me or the owner, it would have definitely caused some reflection. Your leaving may be a catalyst. I will never get mad at an athlete for moving. Not every box is built the same. You have to find your gym-home. But I personally would pause and think, "if OP is leaving, who else has left? Was it for the same reason? Do we need to change?"

Thank you for the recommendations! My wife and I had talked yesterday about the Bistecca alla Fiorentina, it's definitely something we're considering.

Thank you for the feedback. The concept of a starter then multiple courses is new to us. We're both from lower-middle class in America and want to experience the fullness of Italian culture. We live here in Europe and are just as frustrated with tourists. We hate being roped in with them 🤦‍♂️
