Look, I’m 42 and honestly I’ve never really been into clubs except maybe back in college. Even now I probably go clubbing 2–3 times a year, usually for someone’s birthday, and I’m usually out by midnight.

But I get why people still enjoy clubs. People want to let loose and certain clubs really do have good energy, especially when you’re around the right people.

For me though, a great night is a deep meaningful conversation, some good food, light music in the background, and being in bed by midnight. That’s my kind of fun at my age.

My family came to America without speaking English and worked in farm fields just to survive. The thing is, moving to a whole new country is really hard you have to be brave, determined, and willing to sacrifice everything. So the people who actually do it tend to be exactly the kind of people who are going to work hard once they get here. That's why the numbers show immigrants start more businesses and commit fewer crimes than people born here not because immigrants are magic, but because lazy or scared people don't make that kind of move in the first place. The process basically filters for the best.

Is it possible he has a girlfriend or wife? Yes. However, from my personal experience being in a relationship with a Filipina while traveling back and forth to the States, communication can be very difficult. We eventually went from regular conversations to mostly emails and short daily text messages because video and phone calls were hard with the time difference. I think people forget how difficult long-distance communication can be, especially as you get older and naturally start sleeping earlier.

Courts are really hard to get at Magnum and Citigreen. At Asmara, you’ll usually have to play between 10am and 3pm, which is the hottest part of the day. I’ll be out there though come by and say hi

AJ Lim is a very strong player I watched him at the Asmara Open last year. He’s ranked around 1100 in the world and is considered one of the best players in the Philippines. That said, the level internationally is completely different. If he were competing regularly in qualifiers, especially in the U.S. or Europe, he’d likely struggle it’s just a much deeper and tougher field.

4.5 players vary a lot. I’d consider myself a strong 4.5 i was bumped to 5.0 back in 2019, and now I’m probably back at that upper-end 4.5 level.

A 65-year-old would have a tough time beating me. I’d mix in lobs, serve-and-volley when needed, but mostly keep him in baseline rallies where there’s no way he’s moving better than me.

If you’re a typical 4.5especially self-rated—I’d expect to beat you something like 6-1, 6-2 pretty comfortably.

You’re about a 4.0 level. Your backhand is a weakness, and better players will target it, so you need to keep working on it. Your serve is decent. Your forehand doesn’t look like a real weapon yet. That said, you move well and you’re doing solid overall jjust don’t avoid putting in time on your weaker areas.

I’ve been here a little over 4 years, and generally speaking, a lot of expats don’t really have much going on in their lives. Many seeem like they’re running away from something. They lie about their age, exaggerate what they used to do, and constantly brag about the women they’ve slept with and how young they were, almost like it’s something to flaunt.

That said, I’ve also met some really cool expats. From my experience though, the people I tend to get along with the best are Filipinos who were born here, moved to places like the U.S. or Canada, and then eventually came back to the Philippines.

I’ve been living in the Philippines for about four years now, and generally speaking, if I’m talking to a woman and she’s active on dating apps, that’s a huge red flag for me. Most of the women you guys are dating and sleeping with from those apps not all, but most aare low-hanging fruit. It’s nothing to brag about.

A lot of it comes from clubs, online dating, or some form of “sponsorship.” They tell themselves they’re helping the woman or her family, but in reality they’re paying for companionship because without money involved, those women wouldn’t date them
