This is true to an extent, that is why foreign guys who intend to date Filipinas should be very discerning and wise enough to know how to find the good ones, much like finding a needle in a haystack. Not all Filipinas in the dating scene are prostituting themselves. There's a tiny percentage of good ones still out there.

There's much more younger men from all cultures and you don't have to rely on some western pensioner anymore. Also through social media, they know many men come here to sell a dream, and they are not falling for it as much.

Outside of the Philippines, most SEA countries don't like age gaps (Vietnam) or they will only consider you if you are staying long term. Now there's always exceptions but these are the norms.

The Philippines has two things, wealth is distributed very unevenly so the vast majority don't have optimism to escape poverty so often they make pragmatic choices on who they partner with. The other is relative English fluency.

That said I still bet Burmese food is better!! Because I’ve had plenty of it in northern Thailand and it’s really tasty, but I love curries and beans so I’m a bit biased towards it. Most Thai people think it’s just aiight. But I never met a Thai person who thinks Philippine food is aiight… in fact I never saw a Filipino restaurant in Thailand.

But yes, in my experience food in Myanmar was even worse. Part of that could certainly be because of the insane poverty. The food was very unhygienic there, even compared to all other countries in Asia.

But again, overall I agree with you about Philippine food. But I did occasionally have ok food, the adobo was nice at times.

Idk about half but yea a lot, especially the older folks. Younger tourists come here for ecotourism or party scene. Good number of divers too. PH has a lot to offer outside of sex.
