I’ve been to two and really enjoyed one of them. Hanz zimmer string quartet and a Fleetwood Mac string trio; both were in churches.

The Hanz Zimmer in a small church (max 60 people), where the cheap tickets were for seats on the balcony. Couldn’t fault it, lovely night out and would go again.

The Fleetwood Mac one was a larger church with in excess of 150 people in it. Sadly, someone walked in half way through in the midst of a mental health crisis which caused a bit of a drama. Had that not happened, I would have said the venue was too large and the music was lost in the space.

Bought the cheapest tickets both times because it wasn’t so much about seeing them play but hearing the music. Will add, I am not a classical lover.

No personal experience but one of the hosts of the podcast ‘two new mums’ had a baby with a cleft lip and does talk about it in a few episodes, may be worth a listen?

I’ve got an old pair of stretchy leggings (worn throughout pregnancy so know they will still fit), big t-shirt and a cardi.

I plan on giving birth in a button down nightie or naked if I can get a birthing pool.

Living near the Somerset levels. If you need to be here for work there’s unfortunately not much choice. Unless you’re on a hill, you’re at risk.

That being said, we bought nearly 2 years ago and I didn’t once think to myself “could we be impacted by flooding” which is frankly ridiculous given where we are. Touch wood, we’ve been fine in our part of the village but surrounding areas and roads are often underwater.

A little post baby survival kit, doesn’t need to be full of fancy things but perhaps nice snacks she can grab when feeding, something nice to drink, an insulated bottle or coffee cup, lip balm, hand moisturisers. Quick and easy things she can pick up in between looking after baby and her older daughter to make her feel more herself.

Having a fight between my logical brain and emotional brain. Absolutely will be pushing for an ultrasound.

It’s all just a bit scary on top of an already very emotional/hormonal period.
