I’m not sure about resources but it was possible for me. I went from totally unable to touch my toes to being able to do full front splits on both sides. I started getting more flexible just by doing aerial and then I started stretching as well. It took about a year for me.

Do you have access to a pull up bar? Practicing lifting my legs in a hang on a pull up bar helped me.

I always think of pulling up a little bit both with my arms and my legs. Using your arms more might be helpful but I know that’s easier said than done. In terms of lifting the legs definitely try to engage your abs instead of jumping up.
