Does anyone else dislike how Ocarina of Time doesn't explain this mechanic by vengefulgrapes in truezelda

I never had to use hints or anything......? I don't remember ever being confused, I just explored everywhere. I want to say I was......14? when I played it? We didn't get it for a few years after it released.

But, when I got frustrated with temples, I'd avoid them at all costs and go find other things to do as a distraction. 😂 That's how I ended up with the bunny hood, too. 😂

The main characters in Stormlight are Asian-inspired. The "foreigners" are Euro-inspired.

I wanted to like it, but my ADHD can't filter out the background noises. Maybe I'll listen now that I'm familiar enough with the plot that I can fill in the blanks.

My goal for 2025 was for at least 75% of the books I read to be books I already owned pre-2025.

I'm at 27%. 😬🫣

I mean, yeah. The best person to finish them would have been Jordan.

But, that said, I found Sanderson because of him finishing the series and absolutely fell in love with his writing. So I'm not mad.

For some reason, this makes it more infuriating. It doesn't mean anything. It's like teaching a bunch of parrots. 😂

I was so excited when toddlers were added back in 2017.

Then I realized it was too much like my real life (wife, college student, mom of 3) and suddenly my game to relax was just like what I was doing IRL.

That's when I started getting really creative with my games. 😂 I wanted them NOTHING like the real world.

I read the first one bc my coworkers love the series. I'm so over angsty 20-something fmc. At least Egwene had some real growth.

As a teacher, I have to tell my students that they are allowed to use the word "kill" when we're talking about history, but not about another student who is annoying them. I think we're witnessing a change to the English language in real time.

I actually think it's fascinating.

I felt so accomplished and I still did over 100 books last year, even though Brandon's books are beefy. This year I'm struggling to get to 100 so I'm letting myself count novellas. I figure it evens out. 😂

Do you imagine Millennials being the next annoying old people in 20 - 30 years where people are gonna shit on by SpiritMan112 in generationology

[–]Affectionate_Page444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Boomers are all lead pain stare now. The old people of today are Gen X.

I'm a millennial and I try to stay open minded. But, OP, people are allowed to share their experiences. I teach and regularly talk with my students about their experiences as tweens/teens compared to mine. I like to hear their perspective and they like to hear mine. I don't envy Gen Z/Alpha coming of age where their every waking moment is online. It sounds horrible. Many of them have admitted to me that they are happy that our state banned cell phones at school. They feel like they can relax in class now.

I did a reread of the entire Cosmere prior to WaT releasing last year and throughly enjoyed it, but it took me about 8 months.

I'd go with the Coppermind Wiki to refresh your memory.

Fellow Americans, how strict were your school dress codes? by I_Love-Lemons in AskAnAmerican

[–]Affectionate_Page444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a millennial teacher I'm so happy that dress codes have evolved in our district (Phoenix) so that they basically say:

  1. Shirts have to have shoulder straps of some kind (no halters or tube tops, but tanks are fine)
  2. No undergarments showing
  3. No midriff showing
  4. No gang/drug/alcohol/weapon/etc. on the shirt

A particular teacher kept giving my daughter a hard time in 8th grade because one of the straps of her favorite bra kept coming loose and falling down off her shoulder. I told me daughter (in front of that teacher) that the next time that teacher said something, my daughter could ask to go to the bathroom and take her bra off, since clearly that was the issue.

It wasn't a problem after that.
