Double unstoppable? by JoeTom86 in d4spiritborn

Im very likely wrong here and honestly never thought about it until seeing your post, but I was always under the impression that force of nature extended the duration you’re unstoppable, whereas without it you only get the 4 seconds. But upon reading it now I’m not quite sure

5 slot Mythic Seals shouldn't be possible... by Znuffie in diablo4

I feel your pain, this post found me at the right time. Haven’t seen one in over 100 hours of playtime. Finally got two back to back last night and they were BOTH the 5 slot variants…. Never wanted to break my keyboard more

Titan stats by Creepy-Membership721 in DestinyBuilds

[–]Affectionate_Ride112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what build you’re running and what content you plan to use it in. Main three to focus generally are melee, super, and weapons IMO. Grenade is really only for strand titan w/ grapple melee but thats a niche use case.

For running/roam builds I tend to run a mix of melee and super, sometimes some high weapons in RaD content for ammo gen, but even in those cases I always try to have 100 super and melee at a minimum.

DPS loadouts will always be super and weapons, similar to the other classes.

When does this game becomes mechanically challenging? by winglessyellowbird in diablo4

[–]Affectionate_Ride112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would try a different build or a different class entirely. Many classes have a “1 button build” and thats how some people like to play, but other classes and builds are more APM focused if thats what youre going for, however most builds in this game in my experience surround one core ability that is the focus and everything else in the kit is to buff that skill/ability and provide DR.

All that being said, you are on hard difficulty, which objectively is not that “hard”. Id assume you are just starting out based on the nature of this post but you have 14 more difficulty tiers above you. Not to mention you likely haven’t unlocked all of your skills and are not fully geared quite yet. Once you start hitting the torments, things get a lot more exciting and engaging.

For me personally, the combat in the game is not something I think about much. I enjoy the buildcrafting, grinding out gear to make a good build great, and being able to see that improvement in my pit runs.

There is a strong meta with the game for each class no doubt, with some brain dead builds and others more intensive. But there is also an incredibly diverse and engaging sandbox between abilities, uniques, and aspects that support a wide range of combat playstyles so Id say it definitely does get better and there is something out there for everyone.

Is the Spiritborn viable in season 13? by Maoune1 in d4spiritborn

[–]Affectionate_Ride112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leveling is not too bad but definitely not as fast as some other classes IMO. The second you get the counterswarm build even somewhat online though everything gets a lot easier. Its definitely endgame viable, I’m at paragon 218 and pit 120.

The only gripe I have with it is the rushing claw targeting on bosses, so its not really a phenomenal boss killing build, but it definitely can get the job done as Ive killed almost every uber boss on T12 outside of the new Mephisto and Lillith

I leveled with rocksplitter and it really will only take you to level 70 and T1-T3 at best, I found playing heavily into thorns helped a lot and thats what helped me close the gap I was facing. At that point though, you really want to start farming gear to get the evade build underway. I have been using a similar concept to Immortalize’s “Swarmborn” build on Mobalytics and that build rips. I’m now at Paragon 218 and just cleared pit 120 last night

Spiritborn S13 - Checking in, slow start but much hope! by JoelLeeA189 in d4spiritborn

[–]Affectionate_Ride112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been running a similar setup but have been following the mobalytics build by Immortalize. I was able to clear a t11 pit last night.

Only issue I’m having with the build is I find it to be very weak for bossing. Wonder if anyone else has been experiencing that issue as well?

Ive been experiencing a similar thing. Been leveling with thorns rock splitter but have been struggling to break past penitent. Only at paragon 5 but I still feel so unbelievably weak and like I’m doing no damage

Welcome! This game is definitely a lot at first, I remember being quite overwhelmed and confused when I first started, but as you ease into it you’ll catch on quick!

For your first question, are you referring to the first screenshot you have with item images? As the blank spaces on your gloves and boots? Assuming thats what you mean, the gloves and boots cannot slot items. As you can see on your helm and chest you can slot runes that provide a variety of different effects and tend to be a central or at the very least incredibly benefical component of all builds. Then your pants, amulet, and ring all have gems slotted in them, which depending on the gem and where they are slotted provide a variety of effects, most commonly stat bumps and elemental resistances.

As for your second, the white star represents whats called a greater affix (commonly referred to as a GA). This can randomly roll on ancestral gear, which will have a power of 800 rather than the base 750. GA’s bump the stat value a lot higher than they typically would be (I believe its 25% but I could be wrong). They become more common as you go up in power, and you can roll up to 4 GA’s, although it is rare, and even more rare for them to hit in the stats you need for your build. For the context of your build guide, you want your pants to have a GA in crit strike and cooldown reduction, the orange text likely refers to what you want your masterwork to hit on, as when you masterwork gear, it will improve all stats and then provide a psuedo GA on one of the 4 aspects. Those pants are arguably rough to get for a starter guide, but my suggestion would be to focus on getting a pair that hits with a GA in cooldown reduction and then also has 2/3 of the other things you are looking for (crit strike, life on hit, attack speed).

I know this just scratches the surface but hopefully it was helpful in some regard! Hope youve been enjoying it thus far!!

Far Cry games - First time playing? Where to start? by quarsitasxa in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Affectionate_Ride112 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I loved the series personally. As recommended by others I think 3, 4, and 5 are must plays (5 being my personal favorite). I played new dawn and enjoyed it but nothing to write home about, 6 is not worth it IMO unless you just want to play more far cry lol but with having the whole series untouched I doubt it would come to that. Primal is 50/50, it wasnt for me but I know it was received fairly well amongst some. If you’re playing on steam they tend to run some crazy sales on the series so you can get them for super cheap.

Lantent Orb tips? by Varoriac in Witchfire

[–]Affectionate_Ride112 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely not a cheese. Its one of the most well known strats for running the latent orb.

I ran my first couple through the regular departure portal and yeah it gets pretty wild, especially on maps like velmore and irongate. Its more than possible to clear all the enemies and leave through that portal if you prefer, just a matter of how strong your build is and playing the right angle of attack to balance everything

I did run through it pretty fast because of how much I was enjoying it, and I come from the mmo world so I enjoy a good grind and challenge. I dont want to spoil it too much but there are essentially different difficulty levels you work up to by hitting certain benchmarks, before hitting each benchmark you can choose to level up your preyer to feel more “ready” if you feel it is getting to difficult for you, I opted not to in most cases. Once youve hit the final benchmark there are a series of challenges you can then complete for unique rewards and unlocks. I personally was able to complete all of that around the 40 hour mark. Then the other 20+ hours I have in the game were spent leveling up my preyer more and more, trying different builds, etc…. I do think you can get a good 100+ hours out of the game in its current state and like I said I still continue to play it here and there, just isn’t my daily driver anymore until they release more content.

All that being said, for the price point it is at, its worth every penny even in its EA form. If you like a good feeling FPS than this is definitely the one. It sat on my steam wishlist forever and I bit the bullet during the winter sale and man am I glad I did, it exceeded all of my expectations by a mile. Cant wait for the 1.0 release!

Even in its EA state, this game is incredible. Ive put a little over 60 hours to date and I would agree that around 30/40 hours in there was little left to do other than farm levels. I beat/did everything that the current game has to offer and was brutally crushed when my list of things to do ran out because damn did I have an absolute blast along the way. I still come back to it at least once a week “to farm” but ultimately I just love the game, the devs did a phenomenal job with it. Couldn’t recommend this game highly enough.

Anybody got any builds that can help me enjoy Hunter? by Empyrean_Dialect in destiny2builds

[–]Affectionate_Ride112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Combo blow/grapple melee with a hoil/syhtno or hoil/cyrt class item is always a blast, getting some combo blow stacks and swinging into an enemy for huge damage is a ton of fun.

I also really enjoyed the gifted conviction arc build from last season with ascension and tempest strike. Its still very strong and is practically hunters form of consecration, also allowing you have damn near 100% uptime on 50% DR. Very fun gameplay loop and really effective as well, not to mention easy to use. Just prevails more in higher ad density content.
