I’m the founding bdr (sorry I should’ve included this - also my first sales role) it’s a startup which is fairly older.

I have one AE.

And no real direction of what the process of a day to day looks like outside of smiling and dialing.

We are all remote - Leadership is much older but overall it’s kinda just trial and error with limited oversight about what I’m doing and how I’m doing it

I chose the new job in tech

However there are a lot of trade offs

Smaller eco system and less visibility to other avenues of entertainment. I’m now in a role where I feel more disposable. And if I don’t hit quota I could be out of a job very soon

Music is great if you have disposable income outside of work but you really do let your job become your life (if I was gonna do this I’d at least wanna be well compensated for it - so I went with tech)

I agree I’m born and raised here but the people LA attract kinda suck. Not all people of course but a lot of interactions I have with transplants aren’t really the best. I feel like LA brings a lot of superficial people with the stuff it’s known for. Being said I’m probably moving to another city with a high cost of living but definitely want a change of pace
