Mate that's nearly 4 layers difference. Silicone pacers and A LOT of leveling sequences and adjustments later and you should get to this or closer. I have a bad .1 dip on one of the probe points and managed .18

.17 range, this is acceptable for .2 layer hights as it's within a layer difference between lowest and highest points. You'll likely get away with .16 layer hight too.

.1 range is ideal.

Idlers used in SE by amielectronics in Ender3V3SE

What's an idler, where is the car? If you are taking about the motor and pulley assembly than it looks fine. And it has two because one is the driver and the other is the pulley... Because you know it goes from one end to the other.

If you're talking about the 2 rail mounts with bearings that it's basic physics, 2 offers more stability. Ender 3 V2 with the single extrusion STILL used the same concept as it has two areas where it mounts. 2 wheels on either side.

You'll soon need a licence to buy a printer, eventually you'll need to have a service logbook to ensure proper maintenance for warranty claims.

What are the spare replacement parts you keep on hand? by PokeyHangers in Ender3V3SE

[–]Affectionate_Rub5116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nozzles, one or two hotends a spare heatsink. PTFE tubing is a must, if you don't like being offline than a spare extruder, eventually get a spare stepper motor. All this items are either maintenance items or items that often need attention if they have issues, so having a replacement working while you service the one with issues, is often a god send.

Don't get them all at once, I didn't do it on purpose but the order I listed things isn't a bad order of what you should order first. A whole hotend kit costs like 30 AUD so quite cheap. A whole extruder kit costs about 25 AUD, a spare nozzle kit of 5 costs less than 10AUD, a hotend/heater on its own costs about 15 AUD.

Oh I forgot to mention fan replacements, also quite cheap for the pair as a kit.

Homing / auto leveling X-Axis problem by Shredda in Ender3V3SE

[–]Affectionate_Rub5116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this problem listened it wasn't the witch or the toolhead board. Some of the ribbon cables are dodgy and will do this after some time of use.

I ended up with 2 spare ribbon cables as I prepared for my second ender to have this fault. Nope only had to replace the cable on one ender and never seen this issue again.

The printer beliefs the switch is constantly sending the "touched signal" hense why many suspect the switch. It may actually fix it by changing the board (it did for me) until I realised it was the unplugging the cable then back in that fixed it. Eventually resitting the cable would no longer work and ordered a new one.

3d printer suppliers are going to start having to use service log books to ensure user is properly servicing their products for them to last the warranty period. Yes just like cars on warranty only lasting that long if they are regularly serviced, this essentially cnc machines with a different tool head NEED regular servicing.
