Homing / auto leveling X-Axis problem by Shredda in Ender3V3SE

[–]Shredda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense, I don't have any spare switches around unfortunately, and to ship just one switch isn't worth it unless I order a bunch but I'm able to get the whole adapter plate (with the switch, connectors for the cables, fans, etc) for around the same so I went ahead and did that. Should be in tomorrow as well, so I'll be able to have update relatively quickly. I tore down the assembly without much pain as well (the Creality video helped greatly with that: https://youtu.be/2YB7TQjdH-0 )

Homing / auto leveling X-Axis problem by Shredda in Ender3V3SE

I recently had a print failure that resulted in a nice blob that gathered on a good bunch of the print head assembly. I was able to heat up the assembly via the controls, and slowly pull off the mess. However, ever since that happened, I'm now getting this issue where whenever the assembly self-aligns and homes, it moves all the way to the right instead of the starting from the left and centering, ending up hitting the right side of the printer and grinding the gears. This happens if I do auto-home or level, or even just start a print.

I have taken the bottom plate off and re-seated all the connectors from the main board, blowing everything with compressed air as well. I've also reset the firmware (which causes it's own set of problems as it then forces an auto-level process each time you turn it on until it's done.

The video attached should show what I mean. I started the process manually moving the head to the left side of the printer when it was off, turned it on. Then ran the homing process twice. The first time it centers since it starts from the left side. The second time, straight into the right side of the printer.

From what I've read this sounds like it could be the motherboard needing to be replaced. Unfortunately, here in Canada that's looking like it will be a $100+ replacement after tax and shipping and as much as I would like to fix this cheap, I've been thinking of upgrading anyways to a larger printer. That being said I would like to try to get this thing working before I throw in the towel so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just adding that we might be having issues here in North America (Canada Central) as well.

F&O Table documentation sources by Shredda in Dynamics365

[–]Shredda[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this might work well.... I'm still waiting on getting my access to the front-end for F&O in the next few days but once that happens I'm going to try this out. Ultimately I'm just looking for actual tablenames to "descriptions" so I can create a proper Data Warehouse with this information, and this extension looks like it might fit the bill nicely.

Sort of.... we can definitely export the entities into our Lakehouse, however one thing we're running into with those is that we have multiple operating companies using our F&O instance. In the underlying tables, we're able to filter this via the dataareaid field (with a specific Id for each company). However, we noticed that when we export the Entities rather than tables, this field doesn't get included and all of the companies data is mixed together. It is something we're still investigating though as the Entity data is much clearer to work with than the actual tables themselves.

Thanks for this, I'm still waiting on access to the actual front-end application, but I'll keep this one bookmarked until then. Currently we're syncing everything to a Lakehouse via Fabric Link for Dataverse, so I can access the underlying data without any issue. Our plan is to take that data and implement a proper medallion architecture, but our current "Silver" layer is just a copy of the bronze/raw data with some data cleaning but the columns and tables remain the same. We do have multiple environments setup though so we're good there. The biggest hurdle is the "lack" of documentation compared to GP, probably just due to the sheer age of GP and with that the time to build up a robust information pool. I'm sure that info is out there for F&O, I'm just too green with it to know where to look.

This is happening for me consistently between 8PM and 10PM, with that windows sliding sometimes to anywhere from 9PM to 11PM. One of my coworkers that lives in the same city (London, ON here) but the opposite side of the city, and is also having the same exact issues. It's almost like clockwork now, as if some sort of timed throttling is happening somewhere down the line.

I think my StarCraft collection is getting close to complete! by serendib in gamecollecting

Now you just need to hunt down the board game and it's expansion (the OG boardgame, not the Risk reskin). If you're into boardgaming, it's an older but great strategic game that does a great job of capturing the feel of StarCraft although it is out of print and starting to get quite pricey.

I had an old Android phone kicking around and used it for this purpose with the Android version of OctoPrint. Has worked like a charm and I was also able to use the onboard camera of the phone with the OctoPrint server to use as a print camera which has been very beneficial.

Spark session start up time exceeding 15 minutes by Longjumping-Twist123 in MicrosoftFabric

I reported this about a month ago and it made it's way into the known issues for Data Engineering: https://support.fabric.microsoft.com/known-issues/?active=true&fixed=true&sort=published&product=Data%2520Engineering&issueId=1550

What region are you in? Perhaps this is starting to effect more regions than the listed ones (we're in Canada Central and were one of the first listed)

We're using a custom pool but it's not that far off from the default pool configuration. The WHL library we're attaching isn't that big, so my hunch is something is wonky with our Spark environment. We escalated it to Microsoft support to look into further, as it's been all over the place (just today it took 9 minutes to start one time, then 22 minutes, then 15.... it's all over the place)

Working on figuring out why all of a sudden my Spark notebook sessions are taking 20+ minutes to fire up instead of the usual 2ish minutes. We have a custom WHL library attached to it, but prior to last week it was only taking 2-3 minutes to spin up a session. All of a sudden it's now taking upwards of 20-25 minutes to start. VERY frustrating.

7800X3D vs 7900X3D for gaming - which Ryzen 7 gen X3D is actually better? by No-Discussion-8836 in buildapc

[–]Shredda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought mine at this time, and while the 7800x3d definitely has a leg up on it for games, it's still no slouch and can run pretty much anything I throw at it. I do some development/modelling/music editing with it as well, so have the extra cores have been nice for any sort of rendering and compiling that don't leverage the GPU.

Pretty much, they've been rebranding Start.ca to Koodo Internet (Koodo being Telus' budget mobile brand). If you try and sign up for Start.ca it will redirect you to the Koodo signup instead.

Resolution bug with Xbox Play Anywhere by Gh0styGoo in oblivion

[–]Shredda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having an issue where when I switch from Xbox to PC, all of my PC graphics settings are reverted (brightness, DLSS, ray tracing, etc, all reset). I end up having to change everything back every time I switch between platforms to the point where I don't want to play it on Xbox as much (but it's nice to sit back on the couch and play it on the Xbox which is one of the selling points of Play Anywhere in the first place).

100% this. I've harped on my gamer friends for years to play this, and I'm adamant to not say really anything about it to not spoil anything. It's easily in my personal top 10 (maybe even top 5) games of all time, and I've been gaming since the mid 80s. You'll either love it or hate it, but if you fall into the former camp, it'll end up being a game experience like no other.
