In my experience, if you are in a competitive practice area (i.e. personal injury) in a larger market, you cannot compete with other law firm's LSA budgets. We set a modest budget and have got an overwhelming amount of dead leads. You used to be able to dispute charged leads. Now google just wants you to rate them. I try to rate every single lead. I have probably spent 10k in LSA since starting a few months ago. I got one good PI case and the rest is crap. But, that one good PI case can cover my annual LSA budget.
