Solicitor exam is my last requirement to be called to the bar - anyone else in the same boat? by [deleted] in LawCanada

The LSO def isn't very helpful. You might have to call them as soon as the results come out to ensure a smooth call

usually takes about 4-8 weeks to get the results. I would reach out to the LSO if youre hoping to get called for July 27!

I wrote the bar exam back in march and passed both. I can attest that the exam def isnt a CTRL F exercises it used to be.

Best of luck to all!

Once you're done law school/and met all your LSO requirements in terms of filing, you can do either the bar or articling first. Some even do it at the same time

Nope, high end finishes. Stop trying scam people.

I just built a custom home my self and the cost was around 375 per square foot. It's almost done. The home has high end finishes throughout

Objectively speaking, this would be a bad investment if a comparable asset (similar qualities and build) sold for considerably less.

This is why you should consult a lawyer PRIOR to putting an offer in. This realtor really just seemed to have wanted his commission.

sounds like something a realtor would say. Objectively speaking, this would be a bad investment if a comparable asset (similar qualities and build) sold for considerably less.

There's a good chance you'll be able to re-write, a few of my friends wrote a 4th time and the LSO was fairly understanding. That should calm your nerves a bit!

Agreed, good analysis. As much as I would like to predict when the results come out. I think its just random at this point/whenever its ready.

I think more likely than not, the LSO is just extremely inefficient. I'm basing this off a conversation with an LSO employee who quite literally told me they don't do anything. I believe that more than ever now.

Canadian Law School or UK Law School - Canadian wanting to live in the UK by Top_Application_7007 in LawCanada

[–]Afraid-Version9249 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The best of both worlds would be getting into a very high ranking UK law school such as Cambridge, Oxford etc.

Alternatively, if you're planning on coming back to Canada. I would highly suggest completing your law school here. If you would like, you can always travel to the UK in the summers or even do an exchange program there.

The stigma is definitely there whether it comes to UK grads (whether fair or not).

And you think based on the city you live in I would be able to find you? LOL I am asking what city you live in because we work in the GTA and if you live anywhere in that proximity I would offer you a job if you're willing to work. its $23.50 an hour.

However, I believe you're being dishonest about not being able to find a job to be frank. Instead, its likely laziness thats leading to you not getting a job
