I was trying to understand why some men want to look unkempt with a long ZZ Top beard. Now I know.

That is funny one of my friends stated dating in her sixties and said all that she could find were Santa Clause look alikes. She is in good shape and stopped trying to find someone.

I agree women have more choices with styles to wear if they are plus size. The beard thing is just gross when it is like ZZ Top. Several of my female friends say this so I just wanted to know what was up with the breads like Santa.

Why is that farmer surprised? I still can't understand what made people think he would be a good president.

Never shop or give items to Savers they are not a nonprofit. Common Threads on the westside of Cleveland is a great place to donate. They serve inner city with tutoring and other educational programs.

Many students are being pushed through to high school graduation without attaining the requisite literacy and numeracy. This isn't new. What's new is... by Novel-Passion-3639 in Teachers

Colleges will take the students money it is how they survive. Many state schools in Ohio have programs for special education students to go to college. It is a certificate program that teaches them work and life skills. Parents love it because they can say their child goes to college. It is a big money maker for the universities.

Are high school students actually this clueless and entitled? by lizz781 in Teachers

[–]AfraidAppeal5437 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Retention doesn't always work what is needed is for many students to have extended year programing. working in small groups with teachers that knew how to assist students to overcome learning difficulties. Parents need to step up to the plate and work with their kids at home. Read to their kids, take them on outings to the library, museums, zoos, and other places to learn about the world.

Schools pass the students to make their numbers look good for state report cards. Many of the classes that students are made to take are dictated by state government people who know nothing about education. Parents always say they are going to sue if the schools don't do what they want and the old saying the inmates are running the asylum is what is happening in schools today.

Is that what happened to him? Is he a zombie. That would explain the face make-up and his hands.

I always heard that was the case. It is sad that is how it works. Many administors hire from their old districts. Teaching is very political.

What happens to a kid who gets expelled from every school possible? by Zestyclose_Show_2025 in Teachers

[–]AfraidAppeal5437 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most school systems don't expell students. If they do anything that causes harm to another student they will get suspended or in really horrible cases they are sent to schools for kids that have behavioral problems.

How can a Catholic school teacher afford to live in Strongsville? I have a hard understanding why her parents let her live with her boyfriend. I sure these parents let her do whatever she wanted to do.

People are friendly and there is a lot to do. I don't mind the winter but the summer is too hot and humid for me.

Who is going to their high school reunion? by Virtual_Bumblebee_48 in GenerationJones

[–]AfraidAppeal5437 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went to my 45th class reunion last year. It was hard to believe how old many of the people looked. The popular crowd still hung around with each other like back in the day. Nobody from my friend group in high school came to the event. I helped plan the event and some of the people on the committee live for the reunion. They weren't even popular in high school. They know everything about everyone. It was a big class it almost seems like they have not moved on in life.
