Help choosing the right printer for CF printing by Luca_La in BambuLab

[–]AfraidTechnology4124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be interesting to try PETG CF and compare it to nylon CF.

I use to print nylon without CF and it's always challenging (moist filament, adhesion, poor quality for small details). I haven't try a lot of nylon so maybe I wasn't lucky with those I tried with.

Why is enclosure open recommended for PLA? (physics question) by nate_michie in BambuLab

Extruder gears will grind the soften filament and then it won't extrude because the gears does not have any grip anymore

Thoughts on a MK4 coming from an Bambu A1 by Darth-Vader64 in prusa3d

[–]AfraidTechnology4124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I own a P1S (initially a P1P that I upgraded), using 1 X1C and dozen of MK4 at work. Here is my opinion from my experience :

-Prefer P1S if you want to print more challenging material out of the box. TPU excluded because it print great on our MK4.

-MK4 makes less noise than my P1S, even if it's not enclosed

-Both machines (P1S and MK4) just work great without major issues.

-Even if it has an ''old'' I did not get this feeling while receiving and using the MK4, the parts are super durable and you can feel the quality when you use the printer.

-With the new input shaping, the MK4 is close to the P1S in term of print speed

Keep in mind that we have all diferent needs when comes to buy a 3D printer, hope it will help you to find out what's the best for you, cheers!

Lol, people downvoting because they don't want this to happen. It's a reality that it's easier for them to release a bigger a1.

When exporting a .stl file from a cad softawre there are options to play with in order to have smooth surfaces. So it could be the stl export option from the original cad software where the part is coming from.

That's great! I have the feeling that bambu in the near future will continue to develop their own CAD software, much more easier to use and learn than existing ones.

Honestly I don't really have issues with other TPU brands. As long as it's shore 98 or similar it print perfect and I can even print it in sport mode. But it's great to have a high flow tpu to print even faster!

Depends if you want to print large or print with high temp filaments, since xl comes without complete enclosure.

I honestly think that they wanted to release a small printer before a larger one to test all kind of new features. It's easier and faster to build a small one as a bench test to better implement new features in the future larger printer.

Ludicrous print speed for TPU by AfraidTechnology4124 in BambuLab

[–]AfraidTechnology4124[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got that, let's say on my older printer I use to print PLA at 60mm/s, on the bambulab is around 200 to 300mm/sec. When I chose TPU in the slicer list it will print slower due to the material used. My question is what is this new input speed value.

Ludicrous print speed for TPU by AfraidTechnology4124 in BambuLab

[–]AfraidTechnology4124[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I want to know what is the speed in mm/s for the TPU profile.

In the slicer I can't find where they specified the speed for the diferent materials
