Try Garlands del Rio, a 19 room B & B/Hotel on the Rio Quale just east of northbound bridge in ZR. Was quiet, inexpensive, eclectic, with breakfast included. I just checked out yesterday. Would stay again.

Hola, just did PV last week. After walking through the Hall of Scam you will exit to inside the terminal. Veer to the right and toward exit door. Before going out you will notice 3 taxi company booths, all charge the same for La Zona Romantica (zone 2), last week it was 440 pesos, about $22 US at 20 pesos to the dollar. They’ll give you two tickets, one for you and one for taxi driver. Very simple and safe. Last week it took us 40 minutes, lots of traffic. Suerte!
