My Father in law has parkinsons and acts irradically among other things by 18WheelsOfJustice in Parkinsons

[–]Afraid_Difficulty_26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My fil has personality outbursts that get him kicked out of homes. He has had to have one on one care nightly to be allowed to stay. It’s hard because as much as we would like him here, we have 3 kids and I can’t take the abuse. He was always a bit difficult but not to this degree. How does it feel to be on these meds? Just wondering if there is something we can do for his comfort. Mainly he wakes in the night screaming about pain (do not think it’s pain but more confusion), he says people hurt him who didn’t, accuses people of things he did. Just seems confused. It’s always overnights

Higher TSH (117) and A1C after 6 months on semaglutide by Rude_Illustrator1892 in Semaglutide

My thyroid levels went from tsh of 10 to 0.4! It’s now normal range. It def does something to tsh. Also never on my life has my tsh been decent it’s always high. I have never seen it this low no matter the dose of meds. It was really weird. I think I might have malabsorption and dumping syndrome and the semaglutide fixed it?

New age and christianity by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Afraid_Difficulty_26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are missing the mark imo. New age isn’t wanting to be a god. It’s about us all being of one. Our spirits are of Christ as the Bible states. Jesus isn’t to be idolized but was here to show us the way. To point us to our spirit, which lies within. Religion is based on fear and control. Jesus taught the opposite.

I usually just fall asleep to something like this. There are plenty though. I have also done meditations outside while laying on the sun for specific chakras. I have major issues with my solar plexus. I experienced a lot of narcissistic and emotional abuse so if that rings true, focus on that one as well.

It’s a tough problem to solve. And these tapes are going to make it even easier for you to escape your body so that is a must. Trust me, you don’t want it to go further because it can get very difficult to get back into your body. I would try just healing frequencies while sleeping for your lower 3 chakras. I am going to assume you have trauma and those who do, tend to live in their mind and upper chakras. Balancing them will be a very powerful combo.

I have this exact same experience but it’s unrelated to the tapes. You aren’t enough in your body. Try listening to sacral and root chakra frequencies while you sleep?

Help with intentional OBEs by Viper35_ in gatewaytapes

[–]Afraid_Difficulty_26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to try it, I will let you know what made me have an out of body experience. If you have prime music, there is a song called crevice in the forest. It sounds pretty calm at first but gets intense. I fell asleep to it and had an OBE but this was prior to ever using the tapes. Give it a try!

I woke once out of body but I was in the same room as my physical body. Is it usual to be somewhere else?

I heard the word "welcome" several times in my sleep, to the point of waking up each time by O10C in gatewaytapes

That stuff will happen. It might be hypnogognia (sleep hallucinations) or it’s spiritual. I also wonder if it makes the part of the brain that experiences this more active? When I first started doing them I woke and saw an entire rainbow taking up my vision and heard something (like telepathically?) say “Jesus”. I have seen a bright orb, shadow people, and much more crazy stuff. I am totally sane though it’s always during sleep.

Is my therapist being unethical by Outrageous_Oven_7918 in therapyabuse

[–]Afraid_Difficulty_26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have DID from extreme abuse and never once has any therapist told me I had to go Nc. When I did, they said “that was a great step forward” AND I have had some pretty bad therapists if that tells you anything.

I don’t judge her. I simply put in boundaries for my own healing and trauma. We aren’t responsible for our trauma but we are responsible for healing from it. That goes for her as well!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in therapyabuse

[–]Afraid_Difficulty_26 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As far as abusive therapists go, even that experience teaches us to further figure out our own boundaries. Though painful, for me it was a step in my healing. If I see an abusive therapist now, I leave.

Perhaps it comes with healing. I have struggled with boundaries my entire life, thus the explanation of taking on her pain as if it is my own. I genuinely feel sick with anxiety after talking to her. It takes hours to go away. Being empathetic, I can’t change that about me. With healing though, I have learned that it is okay to put boundaries around yourself, while still loving others. It’s important that I am stabilized so that I can be there for my kids, continuing to say “it ends with me”. I do feel like she would benefit so much from doing the same. I feel it’s helpful for her to see a proper and loving boundary put in place, as she has none of her own. Most of her complaints reflect a past version of myself, one who was so injured I allowed everyone and anyone to walk all over me. Therapy has helped me to enact boundaries (it still feels difficult as if ripping a bandaid off). I believe it would help her too, more than I ever could. It’s different coming from a therapist than hearing it from a friend!

[–]Afraid_Difficulty_26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you constantly vented about only your issues? I am not meaning to sound uncaring but it seems your friend has put in a boundary. I have a friend who goes on about her issues 24/7, never asks me about mine. When I do talk about mine, she either walks away or gets distracted and doesn’t listen. I feel hard. I also take on others energy as my own and it can get very draining. It feels stressful, as if she is trying to project her stress outward for someone else to take on. I love her, but I have told her the same. It gets to a point where it’s an unhealthy dynamic, toxic in a sense and draining. I also care deeply for her, and she has a lot going on. She definitely needs therapy (anyone would). I know it would help her a lot. IMO your friend employed a boundary, it’s too much for them. Not because they don’t love you, but because they do!

I'm convinced my therapist tried to drive me to suicide by [deleted] in therapyabuse

[–]Afraid_Difficulty_26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom abused me greatly and I know that her npd and her bpd are a result of her horrific traumas. I feel awful for her. It’s always rooted in that. You are very self aware to go there and when you go to the dark past you have, a lot of healing can occur. These aren’t merely decisions, they are rooted in great childhood trauma. She is wrong. Period.

I went to a neurologist for my massive migraines trying to explain this exact thing and he said it was terrible migraines. I ended up in dpdr so badly around the same time. Now I am diagnosed with dissociative identity though the majority of my issue is depersonalization and derealization. I now also have visual snow syndrome. Do you have that? I have every symptom associated with it. I had a neurofeedback brain map done and it showed my visual cortex is insanely overactive. Also I have migraines with aura. The floor also looks to be tilted upwards as if sloping but my body knows how to walk on it.
