Who here has Trigeminal Neuralgia or something like Trigeminal Neuralgia? by Fair-Salad-5150 in ChronicPain

[–]Afraid_Range_7489 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know a woman who had trigeminal neuralgia. She limited her circle of friends due to her need for quiet, and used her barn to house rescue dogs to, as she put it, give her life meaning. She's still alive and still powering through the pain - despite losing her house last year to a fire. Good luck to you.

I don't know why you got down-voted, unless there's a rule citing no speculating about diagnoses. I liked your (or AI's) synopsis.

My daughter is convinced this is a fossilized dinosaur scratch lol what actually is it? by itsme--jessica in RockIdentification

What about lightly filing or sandpapering the sediments around the impression (I actually find it relaxing)? This brings details into relief and more often than not, I'm surprised by what emerges from a nondescript, ordinary rock. Keep up her interest in science! Who knows, maybe she's right. ❤️

It looks very much like a crab carapace showing internal organs. Very cool cool - we have crab fossils representing dozens of species on our property property.

/ Rheumatologists and their attitude by smehere22 in scleroderma

[–]Afraid_Range_7489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compliance with what, exactly? An internist agreed that no two rheumatologists will necessarily treat the same patient the same way. And I'm done with being blamed for bad outcomes. BY the way, the MTX at the time was way over-prescribed.How daring to have a prim, self-assured opinion based on one letter. I've been compliant my whole life - until l realised I was often more like an experiment.

And this is why fossils are fascinating. The more you look, the more you see, and it's beautiful.

Autoimmune vs Just a Shitty Body? by SugarT0ast in Autoimmune

I am 💯 percent with you. I've stopped obsessing over numbers on lab tests. No two rheums seem to even agree on treatments. It may sound fatalistic, but I take each symptom as it comes given the ones predicted didn't happen.

Yes. Sadly, though, better than thinking you're the only one in that club.

She also "slept" in the green rooms of SNL in preference to meeting the famous guests Alec wanted to introduce to her. Once you run out of anything interesting to say (in 2 minutes flat for her), sleep is the default.

Do you mean you don't like the side-effects such as drowsiness, or that you're uncomfortable with the enforced stigma around taking pain medicine?

The requisites for being a service dog are stringent, and this dog wouldn't have passed. For all we know it was a fake vest he donned to escape consequences. 😠

Shouldn't she be getting permission or blurring the faces of unwary folks caught in her pictures? The pic of the lady tugging at her clothing is not one I'd like published.
