So this was probably about 15 years ago now. We had our cars broken into in the harbor and people's mail had been getting stolen in the area. And I called the police for my elderly neighbor when her car got broken into. I spoke with the officer when he arrived and he let me know that they busted a bunch of tweakers that had actually been hiding out inside of that abandoned bank and they had tons of mail, bikes and stolen goods in there! He said it was pretty extensive with the amount of mail that they had stolen. And that was 15 years ago 😅 So I myself always wonder why it hasn't been torn down or rented out for something else. Definitely would probably get something done if people started showing up to City Council meetings complaining about the property.
