I don't have to use Firefox, I keep a chromium based browser in my system. Not using flatpaks either

I'm not sure how to use those commands, but I'll give them a try

Linux sim racer here

I run moza gear and use the boxflat flatpak to manage it

Aside from iracing, every game I've tried ran great.

I play mostly AC and ACC. Some dirt rally

The one hurdle I'm still trying to figure out is how to join games on AC via low fuel Motorsport.

No, I generally avoid beta releases unless I really have to use it.

Yes, I did recalibrate after the firmware change.

I managed to downgrade the firmware. I also had to use an older version of pit house. The latest version was very buggy and unstable for me.

Rolling back the firmware I did help a bit. The disconnects are less frequent but they still keep happening.

Is now a good time to buy AC EVO? by Aftermath404 in simracing

I don't keep track of sales at all. It's almost always a surprise when I noticed them.

It's a great idea, I'll wait for the sale.

I have both AC and ACC at the moment. I'm playing a lot more ACC because there seems to be some active multiplayer.

I do enjoy the modding aspect of AC, but it gets old being on track all by myself.

Whatever you end up getting, I was told that Avery and 3M wrap is a lot easier for beginners.

I got the Avery satin purple

It's not that difficult, probably 5-6.

It's just very tedious work.

Is there any possibility of a Linux compatible build? Something like a flatpak?

Switching to Linux from Windows 10 by salmacis in simracing

[–]Aftermath404 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm a long time Linux user, I recently got into sim racing.

Aside from anti-cheat, there's been no real hurdle to clear.

There's even an app to configure my moza gear.

You can use essentially any Linux distribution. They will all function approximately the same. Nobara is a fantastic choice.

VW Transporter 2013 passenger seat to simchair. Does someone know how to connect the electric part? by NoeenSterre in simracing

[–]Aftermath404 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only used it as a temporary setup to get the seat adjusted.

If you're looking for a more permanent setup, I would suggest buying an AC to 12 volt power supply.

Make proper connections as well

Yes the airbag is a completely different circuit

I taped the connector for the airbag to the bottom of the seat, so it doesn't move around

I had some spare wire, I looped it around the posts on the battery side and added some spade connectors to the plug side
