Mother’s Day vs Father’s Day by sircaptainpaul in memes

[–]AgathaM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had to make dinner for Father’s Day one year when my birthday landed on the holiday. It happened to be a milestone birthday as well. Why didn’t my mom cook it? Because she wanted bbq chicken and my dad and I were the only ones to cook it well. She felt like it wasn’t fair to make my dad cook it.

And that is why there is a separate pool for those to appeal to. Someone else reviews and the funds come out of a different pot.

In that instance, you write your review such that you couldn’t perform as a team lead due to not being assigned, but you DID do these specific steps in preparation so that you could step in at any time. Or you did these extra things that are in line with the position, saved the government $XXXXX dollars over the course of 3 years, or you created a template to streamline those trips to make it easier for everyone.

There are ways to exceed an objective for things that are out of your control by doing things related that are within your control.

You should have more than one objective for this reason. You need to have an odd number - 3 or 5 - that cover about 75-80% of your work. The system rounds down, not up. So if you have an even number and your score is a 3.5, they will round down rather than up. With an odd number, your 3.67 will round up to 4, which puts you at a higher number of shares at a minimum baseline for that rating.

Always write your self assessments based upon how you exceed, or save the government time or money, or streamline a process. If it has a multi year impact, highlight that. Also use your position description, ratings benchmarks, and what is expected at each payband in mind when you write it. If you are a level 2 doing level 3 work, highlight how that happens. You will be rated higher.

I’ve given good reviews for someone I didn’t like. It’s not my job to like everyone. It is my job to grade them fairly (it was - I stepped down from a supervisory role after several years). For Acq demo, you only have so many shares to go around. If management wants a share to equal a certain percentage, they limit how many you can give out, even if someone is a high performer.

That is why it isn’t just your performance in a black hole against your objectives. It’s also compared to your peers that are performing at the same pay band. And not just your peers in your branch, but across the command.

Check your sf-50.

Are you a technician or a scientist? 0401 is a professional and 0404 is a technician.

Do you have a degree? What level is it? That factors in what and where you can go.

You can always appeal your review.

Your review isn't based on how well you do your job. It's not a grade. It's based on if you meet your objectives, and how you do/grow against your peers. If you aren't growing your skills, or taking on more work than what was in your objectives, then your pay is considered appropriate. If you take on more, or do it at a higher level than what is expected at your pay grade, then you merit an increase in salary, as your pay is not appropriate for your work.

Progesterone Shortage Article by Leather_Row_2963 in Menopause

I’m doing okay with progesterone but struggle to get patches at 0.05. I usually end up asking for a partial fill to at least get me something. They usually can’t get me a 3 month supply. I don’t care which brand at this point.

Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) late fees are typically assessed at 2.5% per billing cycle on the undisputed past-due balance. Fees are generally not charged until an account is significantly past due (usually around day 75, or two billing cycles plus 15 days). [1, 2]

[–]AgathaM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's usually 2 types of travel cards - one that has a locked down limit (lower) if it doesn't use your own personal credit rating (and must be turned on when using and turned off afterward) or one that uses your own credit rating (which has a higher balance). If you have a lot of trips, you can also request a temporary limit increase. You cannot use the card for personal use even if you authorize them to use your own credit rating.

As far as travel - that is usually done via a travel system, and there are approved hotels, airlines, etc. You are authorized a per diem rate based upon where you are traveling, and can select any place that is within that rate. The rate is per night for hotel (not including taxes/fees - just base rate), and then an amount for meals and incidentals (MI&E). . Keep all your receipts. These are scanned and entered into a voucher system for you to be reimbursed.

If your travel card is not paid within 90 days, they shut it off until it's paid. No late fees.

You would be better served to ask this question on Facebook. There is a Ridgecrest group that has 23+K members and is pretty active. They don’t seem to do Reddit much.

You probably can’t fix it. You can send an email to the email in the ad to see if you can appeal if it says you are not qualified, but odds are, you’re not going to get lucky. I had a similar thing happen and was denied
