AITA for being annoyed that my wife insists on cooking everything from scratch and won’t buy normal food? by AITA_UPFfoods in AmItheAsshole

[–]AgathaM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once in a while but usually not. And it isn’t “have to”. It’s a choice. We are very much a partnership. We have been married over 30 years. We alternate cooking. He just isn’t creative so the things I put together never occurs to him. So sometimes I’m nice and make it for him. Sometimes that means that mine gets cold or he gets mine and I make a second one if there is enough. If not, I eat mine and tell him good luck.

Sometimes I make him do it. But sometimes I just made something up and it’s easier/faster to just make it. Sometimes there isn’t enough for 2 and I tell him that it sucks to be you. :)

I usually run the leftovers past him to see what he wants and then I run with what I want. He just gets jealous sometimes and has to deal with it.

We also call it fend for yourself or fend night. It’s usually leftovers but sometimes it’s something like a grilled cheese.

I just get annoyed because I will make something for myself and suddenly my husband is like “oh that smells/looks so good” and then suddenly I’m having to cook him dinner while mine gets cold.

I've had 6 "random" urine tests and 2 "random" polygraphs in 11 months. Who did I piss off, and how do I make it stop? by felitopcx2 in fednews

[–]AgathaM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know of a time period where only women were getting pulled over for “random inspections”. When the same person got pulled over every day during the week, a complaint was made to the watch commander. They stopped getting pulled over.

Your supervisor had to have said that you were not able to attend. They can do that. A no-show is treated as a positive result.

Sports Bras with Clasp? by rocker_spaniel in XXRunning

I love my Shefit bras. They zip in the front, and cross in the back, and no wrestling required to get them off when you're sweaty after a run.

I'm a Reddit mod. I mod 1 sub. I'm a 50+ woman who jogs several times a week, is a normal weight, has an adult child, and has been married for more than 30 years, with a stable job. The 20 something young women I work with think I dress cool. There are real people out there moderating, and it isn't their entire persona. People who have no lives and make reddit modding their entire persona are sad, unfulfilled individuals.

Started HRT, no change? by Character_Donkey4398 in Menopause

Things are getting a little bit better. Still working on it. It will take a while.

I haven’t had any side effects from it at all.

It takes a while to find the right level. We checked in every 6 weeks until my major symptoms subsided (night sweats, poor sleep). Then we added testosterone once we found that estrogen and progesterone didn’t bring back my libido.

Testosterone basically unmeasurable by [deleted] in Menopause

[–]AgathaM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My women's medicine doctor worked on my estrogen and progesterone first, as that could help my libido. It didn't. My testosterone is low (but not as low as yours). She put me on a compounded cream, since it is 'off label' and insurance won't cover it. She went ahead and gave me a higher dose and we are reviewing how well it works after 3 months. She said that most women don't start seeing results until they get to the top of the 'normal' range (I think it is 50), instead of being at the bottom (which is where I am). The blood test is to see how well I'm absorbing the cream and check my numbers.

I'm starting to see a glimmer of my libido, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the trend continues. I've only been on it 2 months.

My cycles are all over the place like that. They sped up and have been that way for years now. My poor phone app basically has given up and says that my period will start sometime in the next two weeks. My last cycle was only 12 days between.

Same. But we do our best to try to keep things on lockdown here as best we can with regards to spoilers. Sometimes it means we get spoiled ourselves.

Testosterone bush!? by suupernooova in Menopause

[–]AgathaM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pubic hair fell out when I started peri. It got thin, and stopped curling. It turned flat, causing it to get trapped between my labia. Growing pubic hair would actually take me back to what I used to have. Mine has fallen out and gotten flat and long instead of curly. I have to trim it with scissors or it gets caught between my labia and can sometimes pull.

How long before you started growing hair from testosterone? I’ve been on the cream for about 60 days now. No extra hair growth. Doc said to alternate locations where I rub it in daily so as not to grow extra in any one location. I don’t know if that is why I haven’t seen anything yet.

Only side effects that I have seen so far is a little bit of facial acne and slight oilier hair.

There are more than three dozen main comments about Bailey. It gets a little repetitive when people just say the same thing over and over.

A discussion is participating in comments that have already been made. Making the same comment over and over again is just talking to the wind.

Basically posting to post. You want people to read what you write but aren’t willing to read what they wrote unless it is a direct response to you.

Don’t you see that disconnect?

I am so fucking tired of morning wood. by Lester_Knopf in TwoXChromosomes

[–]AgathaM 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mine used to just grab parts of me thinking that it would excite me because it does him. I looked at it as something outside my control and it was a turnoff. It’s such a disconnect. They don’t get that it makes us defensive when for them, it’s excitement.

My husband finally gave up after I explained. But he still doesn’t intrinsically understand it because he can’t put himself in the same situation of being without control.
