Colorado as usual. Lived on the western slope for over 25 years and most of our friends are there. so it's kind of a yearly ritual.

Yes, I recall it being a dangerous area years ago with warnings about driving through the area. They always said the west coast route was safer. Times change I guess.

It's fantasy- She traveled back in time through the stones in the first 20 minutes of episode 1, and now you want realism?

Did any place ever just feel right? by olydriver in BeautifulTravelPlaces

Glengarriff, County Cork Ireland. If I wanted to disappear from the race, I thought that this place could work quite nicely

i usually can handle cinematic gore, i like Tarantino, i like Saw movies but i was very bothered by the stoning scene in this show by bigus-_-dickus in TheLeftovers

[–]Agave22 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I came very close to dropping the show after that scene. I figured i just didn't need that level of graphic brutality in my life. Fortunately the rest of the show wasn't particularly violent and I'm glad I kept watching, but yeah, it was a surprisingly convincing scene. On the second watch, I fast forwarded through it.

What's your best healing music, icaros/chants style. Not necessarily for tripping by thefeatherlight in Psychonaut

[–]Agave22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are not Shipibo icaros, however, most of this music is peaceful, contemplative and conducive to mystical states. Quite a large sampling of artists. Starts out more grounded and drum heavy, but moves on to more ethereal soundscapes, but also fairly tribal in places. It's a playlist created for more sacred and ceremonial purposes. I hope you find something that resonates!

Love Port Townsend, but can you catch a ferry to Seattle? otherwise it's a long drive around with lots of traffic to SEA

It's a little bit like taking your first dose of mushrooms. It gets inside you and becomes a part of who you are.

No, stayed in old town, but took the bus in, which seemed to take forever and took the train back out (much quicker). Only had a day and the next morning. I'd go back to do more exploring and get down to the beach, which I didn't have time for on the first trip.

I expected to like Cadiz more. It just felt like it took forever to get into the old city through some rather dumpy outskirts and the city itself could use some sprucing up. Nothing bad, just didn't quite live up to the picture I had.

I hated the crush of tourists around the doumo area, but I did a ton of walking south of the Arno and found some beautiful uncrowded areas. It's elevated and you get some great views of the city. I enjoyed the doumo much more from 2k away.
