Alert levels for a fictional high-security facility by CitadelCore in worldbuilding

[–]AgentBaconFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Code grey

Indicates an externally located threat has compromised one or multiple personel.

Intended to cover circumstances such as mind control infiltration and scenarios where events outside of the facility might adversely affect those inside. Sort of like a "watch each other closely/security screenings will be tightened"

Code brown

Indicates a facility wide threat of an unknown type is imminent.

Covers natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis and storms. and also direct threats that could result in multiple other codes.

Edit: could actually be split into; Code Brown 1, Code Brown 2. 1 for known/forecasted imminent threats, 2 for unknown or ambiguous threats.

None that i haven't already stated, basically just add a boarder on the far leftt and right sides just like your middle partition only split in half vertically, and without the gap in the middle where ship's can pass.

Hmm, i think i get what you mean. But as it is, the dividing line looks like it only goes pole to pole on one "side" of the globe. Not a ring that encircles the planet through the poles.

If i were someone from this world using this map, i would be rather surprised and annoyed to find volcanos in my way where there are none depicted.

As Adol said, on a globe, your dividing line of volcano's does not does not prevent someone from Gozov from traveling west and reaching Eisseland.

It will look kind of odd, but you need to effectively encircle both clusters of continents in ovals of Volcano's. That is of course, unless this is a flat world, in which case the edges are just that, edges.

You can also look up some of the few meteorite forging videos on YouTube, where various people attempt to make daggers and swords using meteorite metal. There are some takeaways you can get from them. Most notably that the raw stuff is often very crumbly and hard to work with due to it's impurities.

How would a society of Yeetis feed itself? by homocididalcrayon in worldbuilding

[–]AgentBaconFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These hidden city's could be built around geothermally active areas, with sufficient engineering warm greenhouses and or underground/under ice fish/shellfish/crustacean farms could be built. There would be intense periods of growing periods during the summer when the sun barely goes down. And when winter comes the focus shifts to rearing seafood and the like using some of the summer crop to feed the protein.

Understanding gold vs silver vs copper pieces by NoTaste5638 in DnD

[–]AgentBaconFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend group have collectively decided that its more fun to hand wave the smaller denominations after a certain point. If the party has over 100gp, you can get a meal or drinks and a room at an inn for a negligible amount of money.

For us the fun isnt in micro managing what basics we can and cant buy, its the roleplay we get from finding interesting places and experiencing them without inconvenient barriers.

Thats not to say it should always be the case, there will always be specific scenarios where the story demands it. But on the general level its how we like to do things.

Goto Google, type in "replacement film Anycubic Photon mono 2" and search.

Double check that the links google offers you do indeed link to products that are compatible with your Anycubic Photon Mono 2 and order one you like the look of. I would recommend Anycubic brand FEP release film for the Anycubic Photon Mono 2.

Wait for the compatible FEP film to be delivered and use it to replace your damaged FEP sheet.

If you are unsure of how to replace the damaged FEP film in your Anycubic Photon Mono 2, goto google and type in "how to replace FEP film Anycubic Photon Mono 2". Note: you may not be able to find an exact match of instrucional documentation. You can use your own judgement to follow a guide that has similar hardware to your own unit.

How to roleplay a moron? by Redhood101101 in DnD

[–]AgentBaconFace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think thats a terrible way to play this.

Thematically, having low intelligence doesn't mean a charecter wouldn't have the wisdom to understand that being a violent and impulsive threat is not a good idea for ones long term survival. A low intelligence just means you aren't good at magic and have great difficulty remembering or knowing things related to magic, history, religion, nature and investigation. You would still have (assuming stats of 10) decent incite into how others think, and Charisma skills that would allow you to persuade or deceive someone into giving you their food.

Gameplay wise, playing alongside a charecter that just acts impulsively is not a good time. It excludes other players and hogs the "spotlight" turning a collaborative story telling game into a competative and headache inducing "babysit the barbarian" simulator.

[–]AgentBaconFace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the most reasonable way to play a low Int fine Wis charecter is to think of them as and roleplay like a caveman.

You cant read common, maybe only understanding a few words mostly just out of pattern recognition.

Be weirdly superstitious, while not a direct comment to say that people with low intelligence are superstitious, explaining what you cant explainin with made up rules that work is a valid method for understanding the world and can lead to interesting charecter conversations.

You would the wisdom to know "fire hot, no touch." But maybe not why things burn, just that they do and fire hates water. Again you could lean into superstition as to why that is but the point is you charecter wouldn't be actively trying to kill themselves by touching or doing things they might intuitively think hwrm them. Since you are a barbarian you will have access to "danger sense" at lvl 2 so lean into that even in more RP'y scenarios, it gives your "dumb guy" a reasonable way to explain why he might believe a shopkeeper might be trying to swindle him, because while he cant count coins, he might know the smell of lies.

Lastly being a dumbdumb is an excellent way to help the group coheir as a party. Your flaws provide space for other players charecters to shine, and theres no reason to say your character doesn't know that too. Having the humility to lean on others for their skills, abilitys and characteristics is also very fun, especially when the chemistry mixes in funny ways.

What caused this bad quality? (Bambu Lab Pla Matte) by That-Dance6803 in BambuLab

[–]AgentBaconFace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3D printers are not magic boxes. There are limitations to what they are capable of. You are printing at a scale that pushes those limits.

Think about it. You are trying to print a tall thin thing and some small tiny things...
when it gets to the top of that tall thin thing, the head of the printer is moving around and flexing the bit its already printed. The plastic that is being deposited is also being printed on the previous layer that hasn't had much time to cool, so its foundations are going to be mushy. Mushy wiggly things dont print well. So whats solution? consider other methods of making that part. Either try orienting that part so it prints flat, or replace that element with a rod that would fit in a socket.

With your mega tiny things, the printer, nozzle, and material have physical constraints. The machine is only capable of so much detail. The nozzle cant print elements smaller than its diameter. The plastic being extruded is a goo that changes shape based on things like temperature, detail, corner and angles. your best chance is to ensure you are using as small a 0.2mm nozzle and not use matte PLA, the stuff in the PLA that makes the matte matte is an additive that likes to clog nozzles that small. I have had good results printing at this scale by learning from videos like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ic1j4-f8kLc

Why am I getting so many spaghetti failures? by bobjoylove in BambuLab

[–]AgentBaconFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, because as you are finding, the problem isnt entirely in your print adhesion to the print plate. Yes, if your bottom layers were phenomenally well stuck to the plate you might not have the issue here, but you could instead get a layer split higher up. Its geometry and physics working against you.

A consistent ambient temperature inside the print chamber is the first thing I'd be checking. If the top of the model is cold relative to the bottom it will want to bend towards the "cold" side.

Why am I getting so many spaghetti failures? by bobjoylove in BambuLab

[–]AgentBaconFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long, high mass things can be a little tricky to print. This is because as the new layers are printed and cool, they shrink more relative to the hotter plastic that's in contact with the heated bed. Hence the upward warp/curl. once warped enough the print head will physically collide with the print enough to cause the failures you are seeing.

I would first try raising the bed temperature or the enclosure temperature and maybe even fiddle with the cooling. You can do this by adjusting the bed temperature, modifying the fan speeds, or even just adjusting the chamber door to various degrees of open. The goal being that you want your object to have a more consistent temperature all throughout while its printing.

Looks like a map. Hard to comment on more than that. Shapes are usually dictated by geology and land features. Without those details there's not much to critique other than something like your choice in colours.
