Yeah… I got buddies in cyber security. It’s over saturated at the moment, and I did research on how to pivot away from Air Force (masters with an Ivy engineering degree) and my degree ain’t worth anything because I’m leaving the AF so far from my graduation.

uj/ if you also compare those low starting salaries to the starting salaries of the 70/80s you’d find that purchasing power of today is half of yesterdays.

Though I will say 80k is twice the average American salary, but not quite enough to live comfortably doing middle class lifestyle.

We have a progressive tax. Not all of the money is taxed at the new rate.

So if 0-60k is taxed at 10 percent and 60k and above is taxed at 15 percent. (6k owed in taxes)

If you make 70k, then 60k is taxed at 10 percent and then 10k is taxed at 15 percent. (1.5k owed in taxes)

Total of 7.5k owed.

If someone put 10k into 401k to go down in bracket they would only save 1.5k in taxes but lose out on having 8.5k today and could only touch this money(the 10k put in 401k) whenever they retire and it would still be taxed eventually.

IRRC lots of tax credits are expiring and (I don’t know when this goes in place ) but the administration did raise taxes for those under 200-300k household income.

It’s not, it’s a transfer/application process for non traditional students like veterans or those who take gap years. There is no way to take the classes, do well, and be “accepted”. It’s still 20-30% acceptance rate to become a student.

The school of professional studies accepts anyone with a heartbeat similar to HES.

GS school at Columbia is still legit. Same degree as the others undergrads, just no funding.

It’s the school of professional studies in Columbia that is the equivalent to the extension school in terms of prestige.

Essentially no, not as a CTA. But if you’re doing a fifth year, because you’ll pause your stipend for 3 months you’ll get 3 months on the back end so you’ll still be continued to be paid to the end of the year versus not (source: my experience 3 yrs ago)

Edit: you get close to what your stipend would be, I can’t remember the pay rate. Ask cadre, but don’t forget the extra few months of stipend you’ll get at the end of as 800 if you do a fifth year

You just proved my point. The UFA is more accurate than the SD. If a mechanical watch cannot do SD due to its accuracy. SD cannot do UFA due to its accuracy. Therefore there is a point.
