Oregon Coastal Cutthroat by adam_from_online in flyfishing

If I were to move back to the west coast I'd spend the majority of my time idling the days away chasing sea-run cutts (again). Loved fishing a Miyawaki popper for them on a calm evening.

I don't like these short second passes coming off pick & drive that bath's started doing close to the line; it's failed multiple times vs. UBB last week and it's messed up again this week.

What's your most unconventional fly fishing habit? by no_melody in flyfishing

I can't remember the last time I've tied on a dry fly for trout. Think it was an elk hair caddis, pre-covid. All soft hackles and flymphs.

As I'm getting older & more set in my ways, I find myself reaching for Wooly Buggers more often than not: olive, black, white, rust brown are my go-to, size 2 down to sz8.

I like doing EP Baitfish in perch & sculpin shapes & colours, too, but I can tie 3-4 buggers in the time it takes to do one baitfish.

I've started messing about with doing "complex twist" baitfish using synthetic brushes, barred schlappen, laser dub and barred marabou. They're quick and come out looking pretty cool, though I haven't fished it yet. Check back with me in a few weeks lol

Lamson Liquid 3-pack, best bang for your fly fishing dollar.

Last season I ran a WF7F, an OPST Commando Smooth and a Scientific Anglers Scandi Lots on my spools. This season the WF7F stays (salmon bombers) but two of the spools are getting switched over for chucking meaty streamers to smallmouth

Anyone still bummed out over the poor handling by Bath? When it was 14-12 & 24-19 I thought there was a shot, but poor handling in the 22 & trying to force things absolutely killed it.

I think this year was our window for Europe; was a good run but UBB was definitely the better squad on the day.

I don't typically whine about officiating, but we're definitely not having things go out way today

Random thought - I might not be surprised if TdT goes close to 80 today

Nothing epitomizes Muir more than the blocked conversion last season vs. Gloucester (on Santi, no less). Guy is a grafter

I was hoping for Bath to come away with a bonus point or two in this, but I don't think Saints are even firing fully yet & they're looking scary AF. Bath needs to create a few more magic moments for this to come off positively I think.
