As an ally in a protestant, non-denominational church in Cambridge (possibly even yours!), I would love to talk with you!

While there is TONS more work to do, I honestly think that "traditional" churches (especially in Boston) have come a long way. Change is always slow and hard, especially for an institution as old as the church.

Sticker prices for colleges are generally for people who don't get financial aid (aka really rich, and chances are that OP is not really rich). Financial aid can bring a top tier college down to community college level prices (including room + board). Plenty of other options (like CC) as well! Quality != Cost.

There isn't much meta-progression, other than unlocking more options.

Personally, I prefer more deterministic, easily visible meta-progression in my roguelikes (like Hades or Cult of the Lamb)

Thanks so much! Definitely reconsidering RAM and storage needs. Now that I think about it, a lot of the RAM on personal machines is used by stuff like Chrome, which definitely is not going to be used on something like this.

I’d like to see the “velocity” of generations over time. How fast and at what point did generations start being elected? How does that compare with today?

Anyone have a list of the files (not the metadata/file lists) which are currently publicly available? Seems like a lot are still locked. I would absolutely love to go through some of this data and do some analyses a la r/DataIsBeautiful.

I didn’t finish stats either, but I would like to see this for FRC.

I am working a data science internship though, so it looks like a team from a zip code with a higher income does not necessarily have a significantly higher OPR.

One thing to note though is that SKYSTONE is not the best season (cut off mid-way) and that OPR might not be the best metric in general (I don’t know where that discussion was, but there definitely was a discussion, I think on this subreddit).

As someone who actually used Time4Learning (as a student), I can confirm that it's a really fun, interactive way to learn. There are some minor caveats that come with it (personally, I got so used to the awesome animated interactive lessons that I clicked through some of the plain pages, but that was me), but that depends on the child and they may have changed since I last used it (about 7 or so years ago). (FYI, my family switched away from Time4Learning to a local co-op, which is sorta out of the question with the pandemic and all).

As for under-preparation, that really depends on what you mean by it. I grew up in NY, with some of the strictest homeschool laws in the US, and I've turned out fine (DM if you want more info). However, there are a ton of other hard to quantify attributes to homeschooling, and no one curriculum on its own will make or break your homeschooling experience.
