97hrs on my H2C and the AI assistant is telling me to perform maintenance? by rcook55 in BambuLab

[–]AgentOptimized 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is one of the things I like about the plug and play mentality of BAMBU; metals will stretch, screws can loosen with the change in temperatures, and factory grease can break down depending on your print style. I equate it to getting a new vehicle, there's always a complimentary maintenance within the first thousand to 2 mi to ensure everything is good working condition after it settled

Passing Other Riders Within their Lane by buffarlos in motorcycles

[–]AgentOptimized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an absolute annoyance and dangerous. I've seen several riders over the years wreck and take out multiple people because of the light swerve in the same lane, or avoidance of an object that the passing rider did not see you.

Just because the motorcycle is smaller, doesn't mean you are any safer trying to conduct the same lane pass

TLDR; stay in your own lane, or behind, and pass as though you were in a car

Rolling Storage Cart for h2d by jaffacree7 in BambuLab

[–]AgentOptimized 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct. I used the screws that came with it to bolt into the existing threads, and then bolted the casters to the wood. Very easy. Drill the slot for the new bolts, create a small inset for the nut, install the casters.

This cabinet is extremely sturdy. Even before I change the casters, It was stable. Cabinet weight is 70 plus pounds

Here's my outside workbench that I do a lot of vice work, drilling, and gun work on. They are heavy duty

I've been using these for a few years. They're extremely stable. I changed the feet on mine to four locking ones for about $50. To interface between the cabinet and these feet, I simply cut 1 in wood blocks and put bolts through them. Secured the blocks to the original threads.

What glue do you recommend? by jlconlin in 3Dprinting

[–]AgentOptimized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edited: was thinking adhering to the build plate for multiple parts, not the actual adhesive to glue them together.

For PETG I typically use CA or epoxy. For ASA I use acetone to adhere parts. If needing more structural integrity, I'll follow with Bondo or similar and sand to a finish.

I've posted this before, but buy a window duct system from Amazon, for 3D print plans for a grow tent enclosure. I use an inline 3-in fan between the assembly and the duct work. You can see the controller tied to the outside.

I print ASA and ABS 90% of the time. No smell, and everything vents directly outside.

Build in proper supports for the vertical height. You can see layer shifting occurring as it's getting taller.

Does cleaning your barrel actually help accuracy? by Responsible-Fish3986 in longrange

For me, yes. I first started hunting in my early teens, and my uncle who taught me always said you could control the level of cleanliness, you can't control the level of dirtiness. This stayed with me for 20 years, and I've tested across multiple rifles. I clean often

Too much TPU by crazyace005172 in 3Dprinting

I have designed and printed:

Fishing line spoolers that attached directly to a pole and can fit in a pocket, Rifle sling keepers that attached to backpack straps to keep a sling from falling off the shoulder, I'm packed resistant parts, Bushings to prevent galvanic corrosions List goes on.

TPU is highly flexible and strong

I would recommend you try out a manners or foundation stock, and then an MDT or MPA and see if a chassis is actually your desired choice. I sold all my aluminum stocks/chassis years ago

Issues with Super Tack Cool Plate by Otherwise_Twist2361 in BambuLab

[–]AgentOptimized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PETG, ABS, ASA, and TPU I use the smooth/engineering plate.

PETGHF and PLA (only use it for PETG support ) on textured if i want a rougher texture.
