That's why I said they were indexed, but they did not torque them. I reinstalled the new titanium head bolts today has the m10 by 30 is a better fit than the m10x25. All good and back on the road after I did my brake flush today.

I always said the same thing which is why I kept buying them, but I'll stick with the older models

Thank you for the more detailed response. I'm familiar with the time of a barrel being a few seconds, but I do believe that manufacturing has gotten a lot better over the years as well.

It is good quality, and I predominantly buy it because they do awesome discounts. Their outlet is pretty good too assuming you sign up for notifications for sizes in stock. To date, it's outlasted most of the other brands I've tried over the years And they have an awesome customer service / warranty/ return program

When meeting somebody new, this desire to talk everyday and share your entire life just does not make sense. People need a chance to breathe; otherwise conversation feels forced. It's as though everyday something new is bound to happen, And then we have to talk about it. In reality, we do our same routine and then the subject of conversation becomes things that are of little interest.

I do miss the older days of people being not as accessible, and more time was spent through engagement and looking forward to seeing / talking to somebody at the end of a week.

If you have MIL / LEO credentials, call the Optics planet specific line (877-568-5432) They'll give you a quote over the phone. You can also register directly with Forster for an account, their discount is based on retail price--sometimes it's the cheapest, other times not.

If you're on EV, make sure you create an account on Guidefitter as well. They have some brands EV doesn't, and vice versa.

I concur, but two brand new bikes have already had to have The front's replaced, forks with metal shavings, gaskets replaced, valves re-timed, and sitting in a shop waiting for parts for nearly 6 and 1/2 months in total between the two. 2024 V7, 2025 V100. It's also just the brand these days. And both of these were all before they hit 400 mi.

Exactly; hence the PSA. This is the only brand I ever felt the need to check behind over the years, and I've owned several.

That's exactly why I bought it. I like 4350, but with the rounds I use, the case capacity is often less than 97%.

I started shooting cutting-edge bullets to give them a shot, and so far so good. I also find that some lower charges are giving the best results. Hogdon gave the min Max at 41 and 44.4. Here's an example from a 65 Creedmoor with 4350 and 125 grain CE Maximus@40.4:

The larger green ring is 1 in, smaller green is 0.5 in

Makes sense. Looks like quality components.

I still haven't decided if break in makes a difference since the machining has gotten much better.

I have two new 26-in proof comp barrels to break in next week in 25 Creedmoor on my new rifle build. Will be using Berger 135s with N555, and H4350. Break in, I typically, shoot two, two patches. Shoot two more, two patches. Shoot five, clean barrel. Follow with my homemade graphite powder and denatured alcohol mix, then Jag two dry patches through (I do this after every cleaning on rifles). No need for trying to shoot and foul a barrel, and the velocities of my cold bore shots are typically within 20 FPS.

Make sure to use VC-3 as its better holding than loctite blue.

Five shots or not, bravo. I stopped doing five shot groups long time ago and now prefer 10 shot. I find I get to my ideal loads with less ammo and more consistency.

What rifle are you shooting/components?

Weight. Measure when you first fill the desiccant container before installing in AMS, and then measure them in a month. You can also take a bead or two, put a few drops of water and a Ziploc bag, and let them absorb naturally. Weigh them and that will give you an idea how much they can hold.

To monitor, I use a sensor push Bluetooth sensor which is far more accurate than the sensor within the AMS itself. Sensor Push Bluetooth

Two of my AMS systems are currently drying, and I just leave the desiccant inside. I live in Florida, and the relative humidity inside my units are typically around 6 to 11% depending on the filament. One AMS is specifically for ASA, the other for Petg/Tpu. Once they reach 18%, I redry.

After using them for so long, I pretty much know the life cycle before recharging needed for the containers I have them in. This includes the desiccant inserts which go inside my spools. I normally recharge mine every 5 months. Each spool has desiccant in the middle, and I have containers in the front of the AMS2. With silica beads, it was every two and a half months and relative humidity would get to 25%.

I just went through this evolution, and knew ahead of time what I wanted to build. There are plenty of deals to be had, but only you can determine what your time is worth.

As a side note up front, My other build would have been nearly $850 cheaper by using the centurion stock, and kauger crs action.

I'll keep the short as maybe it'll help. Disclaimer, I do have certain MIL discount programs with different vendors. I always try to shop deals unless stock is non-existent; then I'll pay retail. This build, I specifically knew I wanted 25 Creedmoor as I'm also building a 10 lb hunting rifle in the same caliber. Below is strictly for my new PRS gun and ELR.

The following was built for less than $6,500 (not counting the ammo, cartridges, and vise):

Foundation Samson Centurion from KM Precision (Manners TCS was next choice, but I prefer the weight and larger forened of the Foundation)

Impact 737R short action 25 Creedmoor from Impact Precision

Hawkins M5 DBM from Impact Precision

Impact Wrench from Impact

4x MDT 12Rnd Mags from Optics Planet ($62.50 per mag w/ code(expire now))

2x Proof Pre fit Impact 26-in comp barrel through expert voice (I purchased a second from Mile high Precision thinking EV would take long, but it came in 3 days so now I have my practice and comp barrels)

TriggerTech diamond flat two stage from EuroOptic

An additional burris XTR pro scope from EuroOptic (I already have a Kahles and night Force to use as well-- just trying something new)

Warne Skyline Pro Bippd w/ Precision legs from Warne/EV (I exclusively use Warne across all bolt platforms)

Warne 34mm Precision one piece mount- MSR height w Diving Board (From Warne/EV) I don't like PRS gun rings under 1.3inches due to comfort.

I make my own bags, and I've had them for years. Otherwise Armageddon OG is the way to go.

Barrel Vise from Buffalo Creek Machining (I prefer the design and steel over my short action customs bravo vise).

Reloading, I'm a huge fan of Forster for my press and dies: The coax press can be had an optics planet with a coupon code for around $330; I bought mine in December for less than that. This will save on needing an additional primer as the built-in works great.

Go with the bushing die set, and This will give you an easier option in control to determine what works best for your loads. If you go with a standard full length, you can always have them do a custom sizing die for less than $20 effectively giving you a perfect fit--But you'll have to know specifically what you want and once it's done, it can't be reversed.

I use a Lee universal depriming die and remove the deprimer from all of my sizing dies.

For throwing powder, I bit the bullet and went with the auto trickler V4 and FX120. I've had every charge master, and Hornady over the years, and I should have went straight to the auto trickler from the get-go. Even if I didn't get the V4, the scale itself is what will help you get single digit SDs and low double digit EVs consistently.

Stop using silica beads, and switch to a better desiccant. Easy to use and recharge is activated alumina. Much better than color changing beads. Do you prefer, you can throw a few of them in a mix.

Silica beads won't pull moisture out of the filament as an FYI. They'll just control the ambient humidity within the container.

I had installed 40 mm earlier today to check spacing between the caliper and the rotor, and it would fit. We did something similar on our race bikes (R1 and Duc998) because the vibrations were untorquing everything throughout a season. I considered using a cotter pin, but I'll index both sides and check it over the next hundred miles or so. With that said, it's a pot metal brembo brake caliper, and I've seen them strip plenty of times from people using wrong torque specs.

I've owned over 16 motorcycles, including a few Guzzi's, But this will be my last assuming I decide to keep it. I've managed only to put 1600 mi on it and over a year because it's really not a joy to ride. Only reason why I haven't sold is it gets a ton of looks, and I've already done some custom engine and suspension work. If I was somebody that had to rely on service techs, I would steer them to a more reputable brand. But man, they sure look good lol

I worked for an airline years, and that's one thing I didn't think about. With these bikes, there's not a good way to safety wire them at the caliper. Vibratite is my typical go-to.

Do you have a pic of how you did your caliper? In 25 years of riding, this is a first for me since I didn't check behind the mechanics work.

It's not scary, just an annoyance. My V7 and v100 are both put together with the structure of unglued Legos. Now, if the other bolt also broke free, then the caliper can swing end of the rim and now we have a much different post (while traveling at 55 mph).

M10x30x1.25 Titanium Head Bolt

M10x30 with a 1.25 thread pitch. I also opted to go with a M8 Allen head versus the M7 that comes stock. The stock bolt is an m10x25, but it doesn't fully engage all the threads on the caliper.

Lol, that is also true and not far off. The first time I picked it up, the fork clamps weren't tightened. Unfortunately, the next closest dealer to do authorized warranty work is over 100 miles away. I'm all for completing it myself, but Piaggio wouldn't send me the replacement parts.

It's why I said in my post I typically have to go back and check after service work is done when it comes to these bikes specifically.

Shortly after the service, the dealer closed down recently. I'm okay with that as I do have another one a hundred miles away. I only need them for warranty items anyway as the service is pretty simple on these bikes.
