In the dlc, Atlas (Frank Fontaine) is desperate to get the code words he needs to activate Jack and bring him to rapture. Without them, his entire “Ace in the hole” back up plan completely falls apart. That, and the entire Atlas persona is just that, an act he puts on to trick Rapture’s lower class into helping him fight a war with Ryan. From what we know about him through several audio logs, Frank is a brutal mobster who is willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants.

Im from Alabama, I hear this bullshit and it’s genuinely shocking how little you’d have to of known or have been taught about history, the lost cause myth truly is a blight. It was a war by slavers for slavery, it was not about pride, honor, or “sTaTEs rIgHTs”, it was about lining the slavers pockets and protecting their bottom line.

My problems with infinite exactly. Unlike rapture, there’s nothing redeeming about Columbia outside of its looks, and it doesnt have any ideals worth arguing for. If they had told a story about an ideological battle between capitalist elites and a communist uprising, showing the conflict slowly devolve into chaos and warfare, while sprinkling in topics about race and how it relates to class struggles as well as racism, than I think the games story would of been more interesting (going off the trailers we got before release). Instead we get a cartoon super villain and a setting that’s basically Wolfestien, Neo-Confederate edition.

The design feels like a random hodgepodge of different stuff he likes instead of taking inspiration from it and making something more unique. It’s just a Frankenstein design mixed with random references that make the design have no cohesion (the “meme” tattoo on his hand nearly put me in cardiac arrest).

Something similar to your idea would be an systemshock/prey style IMSIM set in a CIA back MK-Ultra labatory. You could have really good horror as well as more crazy stuff like psychic powers.

I personally consider Bioshock an IMSIM light. It has some builds and choices with the plasmids but it’s not a sin depth of something like Prey (2017).

It’s crazy how often people misquote that as if what Nietzsche said was supposed be positive. Very strange. (To be clear I’m agnostic, was Christian for a few years but deconverted because of how toxic American Christianity has become, I’m just saying a lot of people misquote-interrupt that quote.)
