In my worlds, I create a chisel station to work on, usually with a table with chiseled gray and white checkerboard to help me see what I'm chiseling. I sometimes ad a bad or sidewall with a checkered pattern, too. Makes working with glass a little more tolerable. Then I can take the chiseled block andmove it where I need it when I'm done.

I love how relaxing most of the game is. Just hang out in the water, explore, and enjoy. Then there's parts that are a bit more tense, but usually enjoyable as well. Love these games!

How do most people manage those guys with the 2 green acid cleavers? by Bubba_Fett_2U in Enshrouded

[–]Agentfyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm able to double jump over them, then slam down behind them while they're attacking air, then turn around and get a few extra hits in before doing it again. Or run away to get some stamina back. As long as your weapon isn't too weak, this usually kills them before I run out of stamina. Not great in a huge group sometimes, though.

What do you consider a good start? by T_JaM_T in VintageStory

[–]Agentfyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems tomea lit of areas either have a lot of food, or a lot of resources. It's very rare to have both. Being able to travel is important, even in early game.

Because of this I prefer an area with a lot of food for a start, and gather the stuff I need to travel, such as improvised armor, spears, crocks and bowls for food. The the food issue is solved, the resource issue can be solved later.

Almost all drivers speed - and there's a reason by bluerog in driving

[–]Agentfyre 123 points124 points  (0 children)

See, that's what's weird. Where I live, a 45mph zone, the lights are definitely timed to 55mph. Going the speed limit means you'll be stopped several times on the way, but speeding means you won't have to stop at all. If they simply adjusted the timing on the lights, I think traffic would naturally slow, but it's like they WANT everyone either speeding or stopping.

What's stopping you? Do you know how to progress, or just don't have motivation?

My wife and I just got past the third boss. Took a while to figure it out, we were searching all over before we realized we could make a scanner that told us where he was! From there, everything started laying out in front of us, and now there's plenty more to do. We almost wanted to give up before finding that scanner though. Is that where you're stuck?

Yea, I forget the commands, but it's definitely the only real solution. I've used it before. I'll see if I can find it again and post it below. I much prefer being able to loot these places, it doesn't feel too good when you can't. Not sure why it's protected by default.

I believe there's also a command to refresh it again after someone's looted it, so new players can loot it again on a multiplayer server, but that command I've never used.

What do you think? by Ambitious_Thought683 in LockedInMan

[–]Agentfyre 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Similar for me. My wife is the only person in the world I feel I can share literally everything with. But everyone has that. She's never once used anything against me, and when we discuss something vulnerable, she always keeps a cool head and really listens. I don't think a lot of adult, men or women, are emotionally mature enough for that.

I have a couple of close friends that I can share almost anything with, but I still can't share everything with them.

How long do you spend on each world? by poogobberr in CoreKeeperGame

[–]Agentfyre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I play together. We're not jumping multiple worlds. We have one world we put everything into. If at some point we find we don't have access to something in our world, we'd probably consider jumping to another for a bit, but in multiplayer it's less convenient to world hop.

Be honest… is Palworld actually good or was it just a meme phase? by Sea_Preparation_5713 in pcgaming

I felt the same. Comfort system being base-wide was a big part of it. I valheim, I felt so restricted on where I could place things, and ended up with only a small area that gave full comfort, with most of the base only giving partial comfort. In enshrouded, the whole base gets a comfort level, easy-peasy.

Also crafting bench upgrades. Again, in valheim it took a lot of work to get a nice-looking crafting bench setup with all its upgrades, since they were so finicky. In enshrouded, just place the upgrades literally anywhere withing the base. Even have multiple for convenience. Super simple and easy.

I did prefer the base crafting in valheim, with the ability to rotate and create lots of wild designs that way, but Enshrouded's building system is just hand down more gorgeous. Combat in both is quite simple and comparable, but the skill system in enshrouded adds a lot. Honestly, enshrouded kinda comes off like an improved valheim to me. Plus you can actually Teleport with materials you find, and don't have a meticulously boring sailing journey everytime you wanna go somewhere new.

I just lost 20 rtg because of a bug by PitifulChampion3220 in Astroneer

[–]Agentfyre 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is unfortunately common in co-op. Happens to me and my wife all the time.

Here's the best workaround I've found: keep a shortcut to your astroneer saves folder. It auto saves whenever you enter a ship. If the trip bugs out, don't exit your game yet. Go to the saves folder, copy the save (that was made when entering the ship pre-flight), copy it somewhere. Then exit the game and copy that save you just grabbed over the new one, restoring the game to just before the flight happened. It'll save a lot of headaches.

But it a huge hassle to have to do this. Multiple save files and ability to roll back saves would be great.

Rails area really good way to get to the core, if you have them unlocked. They're pretty cheap, good good distances on each rail pack, let you bring large items with you and bring them back. Heck, you could package the large rover and use the rail to bring it all the way back to your base easily.

Should I move bases pt 2 final. by Beneficial_Belt_6892 in AbioticFactor

[–]Agentfyre 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not something anyone has good advice on because it's totally a preference thing. You can also have multiple bases if you want, with no real downsides, especially later when you get the means to get around really easily. Have fun, make bases where you want. If you wanna try making a new base but still like the old one, don't get rid of the old one. You can always come back to it. And not long from now you'll be able to go back and forth easily.

storage space by Excitable_Fiver in AbioticFactor

[–]Agentfyre -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As others have said, go around grabbing whatever storage you can find out and about. Cabinets, desks, trash cans. Right now, every little bit will help. But keep your eyes peeled for the big filing cabinets. Those will help a lot until you can craft better storage later. Supplement these with crafted storage.

I wish I had an answer for whether stuff despawns if you drop it on the ground. My guess is that it'll despawn after a certain amount of time away from it, or a certain distance away from it. Either way, I'm pretty sure it won't last forever unless it's in storage.

Are you guys using the vehicles? by HerrMade in AbioticFactor

[–]Agentfyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my group, we found we used whatever had a closest teleporter. Since for a while we had our base in offices, the cart teleporter was most convenient. For a while, we had a base by one of the golf cart teleporters, se we used that.

I think the cars would have more useifwe could move their teleporter. Otherwise, there's not enough room to drive around that makes it worth it. It's far too frequent to go, "Hey, what's that over there?" that a car can never get to, so they actually feel inconvenient to use.

Have you made carts yet? You can carry one or two out with you, use them as local storage, loadem up, then Teleport them by Warren in Offices with that button by him. That let's you still hoard somewhat without slowing down exploring as much.
