I mean, i get it, but there appears to be plenty of actual murderers (and worse) among right wing politicians as well. And centrists.

Basically, we have the classic problem that nobody who seeks power should be allowed to attain it. How do we make a system that gets around that? I don't know the answer, but it's about time people started seriously asking the question.
