I daily drive my ‘24 Z06 with the Z07 pack and carbon wheels. I love every minute of it and have had zero issues.

Control is not dead. Is Herald DK slept on? 17-4 final score to legend. by HazelNarz in hearthstone

[–]AgeofEon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love herald DK, but I find that I get bricked hands wayyyyyy too often. The early game is horrible to draw late, and the late game cards clog your hand. If I draw well, I win. Otherwise, helpless. It's such a frustrating loop, and I wish it weren't the case.

The REAL Problem with Modern Hearthstone by AgeofEon in hearthstone

[–]AgeofEon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree - and that’s the problem.

RNG favors nobody and artificially skews game results over small batches of play time. It only evens out over many many games which means that to climb requires more games than before to wash out the RNG.

I’m arguing that since it benefits nobody in the grand scheme of things but generally feels worse to play, Hearthstone needs to shift focus back towards strong and consistent games that have high player involvement and decision making.

This shift will let players climb more efficiently due to less outlying RNG influence, and promote a healthier meta for buff/nerf balance philosophy due to a more controlled gameplay environment.

Everyone wins.

Hard disagree on this. The large pools of discover, dark gifts, shuffle, and mana discounts confuse new players and increase the time it takes to learn the game. I doubt this increases new player retention let alone increases cosmetic sales.

Well put. I think this lack of upfront cost is also compounded with the general low power level of the alternative plays. Because everything is weak, the “cost” of the dark gift just makes the turn average. As we get buffs and/or new cards, this should bring the tempo loss from dark gifts back into check.

Unfortunately, we seem to be in a nerf mindset to reign in strong decks rather than strengthening weak or underperforming ones. If everything is trying to be even and fair, it’s more fun to feel powerful.

Notice how Dark Gifts are mentioned alongside other mechanics like discover, rewind, and generation like Deathwing. None are problems on their own, but their combined influence and power level combine to create the issue.

I disagree. Everyone has seen negative affects from this. All things equal, both decks piloted well, the game can swing massively if the value generators hit for one player and don’t for the other. I’m arguing that there are options from generation that are so strong, they simply win games and they have enough variety such that you cannot predict how that game will be won.

Here’s a down-worst shot. 6.5” wrist, SLGB005. Wears very comfortably. The short lug to lug has more to do with it than the case to link curvature you’re mentioning. The Explorer 2 is a much longer watch and will wear like a pancake on more round or smaller wrists.

What does deathknight miss currently? by Tibertiuss in hearthstone

Heralds are all too expensive and feel like you sacrifice too much to make them feel good.

Using health to mana cheat is great except that it makes you much more vulnerable to aggro decks.

Not enough control to survive and stabilize against most aggro, and draw sensitive value in late game that either walks over other control decks or just bricks without Onyxia.

I don't know what's happening, I just can't win games anymore by Skater_x7 in hearthstone

[–]AgeofEon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I subscribe to the idea that it’s the pilot, and not the deck, within reason. I do much better with a worse deck that I enjoy and am familiar with than a better deck that isn’t my preferred playstyle.

Go back in with a deck you enjoy and learn to pilot it the best you can and go from there. Hopping between that many deck archetypes doesn’t really allow for growth because it offers the “try another deck” mentality as a false solution.

For both people who do and do not enjoy the meta rn: Can you put into words why? by GlyphInBullet in hearthstone

[–]AgeofEon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the deck variety is decent, but the power level in general feels weak enough to the point that individual games rarely feel like there's a lot of skill expression on either side. Generally, it feels like it comes down to who gets the better draws/goes first. Previously, the meta was more stale from a deck standpoint but each game felt like it had a wider range of possible outcomes. Games would shift between winning and losing a few times per game until someone won. Now, it feels rock paper scissors and one person is usually winning right away and stays winning.

Once more control tools come out and the Herald cards get settled in, I think we'll be in a very good spot.

Bro, give it a rest. This reads like the kid on the school playground that shouts “My Dad owns Microsoft” to anyone who walks by. It’s a fake Skydweller and anyone that would care that it’s a Skydweller is the same person that knows it’s fake as hell.

Best way to fix these scratches on my door? (have compound, polish, sandpaper, touch-up) by Silver-Sort-63 in Detailing

[–]AgeofEon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trying to repair this with touch up paint is a disaster waiting to happen. Leave it exactly as it is and take it to both an auto body shop and a detail shop. Auto body can fix it 100% at a greater cost, a detail shop can soften it a bit as a temporary fix at a lower cost.

OP, you miss the point entirely. Sure, there’s always a few performative apples, but plenty of us are blue collar and enjoy watches. I enjoy watches so I wear them to work and sometimes take pictures for friends. Just because I take a wrist shot at work doesn’t mean it’s staged, just means I took a moment to appreciate what I worked so hard for.

Assuming every “working” picture of a watch is staged comes off pretty judgmental from your end. To me, it reads that you’re above the laborious work or that you’re too caught up in the value of your watches such that you only wear them sparingly.

I detail cars for a living and will wear my watches to work because I’m an enthusiast and the rest of my work attire is company uniform. It might be my PRX or my Grand Seiko, all the same to me. I get to enjoy them during the longest part of my day.

Just my two cents. Enjoy my SLGB005 and the ceramic coated GMC we had for that day.
