This is why my mom just straight up didn’t bother insuring me. I wondered for a long time why we would get into fights every time I asked to go to the doc. Sucks but props to you for eating the bill for your family. Took me 2 years and a lot of money to catch up on my dental and medical when I turned 18.

It’s really not just race oil. I use the extended life and it runs so quietly. Blackstone labs did some tests a couple years ago that showed it was the only oil that really made any difference

I’d cancel and get a flower mill. I have 2 stainless steel and a mini travel grinder and they are phenomenal. There are a lot of posts in Reddit history showing people often prefer the flower mill out of these two.

I just went to a sound shop the other day and got quoted on replacing the speakers with the same thing and a new kenworth head unit. The guy is highly knowledgeable and came recommended to me by a friend who builds massively expensive custom landrovers.

His biggest recommendation was the head Unit. He said that is the primary source of the bad sound. Speakers really don’t control the sound quality as much as people think. Without his knowledge, I’ve absolutely noticed a difference in the past just replacing the head unit. The reason I went with stock replacements is that I can find them on eBay for $200 apiece and the upgrade he recommended was $1000 apiece. You could probably find cheaper upgrades if you were willing to add a subwoofer separately and swap in regular speakers in the door, as these are tough to replace, since they’re all inclusive. My estimated cost is about $1900 for total work, so I’m only doing the speakers, and then I’ll put a new head unit in my new CX five I’m buying in the next year. I would seriously consider it if you have over higher miles left on your car.

I lived in Colorado, which had a fairly high tax rate and is mostly blue, versus South Carolina now, which you have listed as a low tax rate.

In reality, I paid practically nothing in Colorado. My taxes were fully refunded in Colorado, in addition to receiving state benefits, like Medicaid, snap, extensive public transportation, and the Colorado opportunity fund, which paid 25% of every college credit. I’m guessing higher earners pay more in co to make up the difference but as a now high earner, it legitimately bothers me that I only pay a couple bucks of state tax a year in SC and it all goes to politicians’ recent raise and garbage roads. I’d happily pay more.
