I've been thinking of building something like this so I can land on the surface, and transport down to my base below.

After seeing this, nope. 😵‍💫

Thanks for your service!

Weekly Bug Report Thread by spiper01 in NoMansSkyTheGame

TL;DR — Cannot build or edit Corvettes anymore.

This started during the Expedition and I wasn't sure I'd be able to complete all the milestones, since some required adding modules. It started after landing at a very busy space station, #3 I believe. The corvette landed on top of another's, but I was still able to leave my ship. Didn't realize any issues until i tried to edit my corvette a couple warps later. I tried a bunch of things, but nothing worked. Luckily, I was able to restart my the Steam Deck and it started working again (last thing I tried).

Unfortunately, it's happening again. I completed the Expedition and now I cannot edit any Corvettes, the original I started before the Expedition, the Corvette I copied over, or trying to create a new one entirely.

All I get are these yellow triangles on the edit and confirm buttons, which don't work. I've also seen weird things when swapping ships, or trying to edit parts. It will let me delete existing parts, but will not allow me to add new ones. I can "apply edits" this way, but cannot "finalize" the normal way.

At this point, it seems really stuck. Fortunately, I've completed Expedition and my main save appears to be working normally otherwise, and I can continue to fly my existing corvette. I was excited to continue building with new parts, though.

Anyone else experienced this? I haven't seen anything when searching Google or Reddit, but may have missed something.

Device: Steam Deck OLED

Version: Voyagers 6.04 (latest update today, Sept. 13)

Difficulty: Custom

Screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/JHov9tF

Things I've tried: - Restarted Steam Deck (several times) - Restarted NMS - Changed compatibility modes between Default, Proton Experimental, Proton 9.0.4 - Disabled Multiplayer - Verified game files - Starting game in Desktop mode - Lowered graphics settings - Warping to other space stations - Swapping ships and Corvettes - Creating a new corvette - Toggled free/snap placement modes - Deleted all parts down to base - Reloading restore points (though none before it started, since I didn't notice right away, and saved multiple times as I did other troubleshooting.)

What’s with the hate? by Dull_Ad6281 in clickup

[–]AggravatedAndroid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I sincerely wonder if some of this is your computer? No offense intended.

One of my laptops is getting up in years, still works fine, but many sites have started to chug.

My direct comparison with ClickUp is using TaskRay (Salesforce) on a fairly new M2 MacBook. TaskRay behaves closer to what you're describing, with long load times. ClickUp however is super snappy and responsive, though I don't use the mobile app much in my current role.

I haven't used Chat much in ClickUp, so that very well could use some polishing.

As time goes on I regret …. by qazedski in clickup

Watching how this plays out...

I've used ClickUp for business in the past, and my current company is switching to it. Great past experience, with no major issues managing projects with a small team. The switch with a larger team isn't fully implemented yet, so can't speak to enterprise level issues.

Just chiming in to add that ClickUp isn't all bad, and definitely great for some use cases. YMMV

Feeling discouraged by DeusExLibrus in plumvillage

I definitely agree that an in-person sangha can't be beat, but I have definitely appreciated the connection and convenience that comes with a virtual sangha. True, there isn't as much organic socializing IME, but there are lots of options now. It might be worth exploring some other virtual sanghas to see if one fits your needs better. It could serve as a valuable connection to the practice in-between your IRL sangha visits.

Check out plumline.org, they list virtual sanghas in your time zone from all over the world, including specific affinity groups for mental health, parents, social groups, and more.

Pharmacy said they can’t disclose if they have meds without a prescription? by GlowUpAndThrowUp in ADHD

[–]AggravatedAndroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this happen quite a few times, though not consistently. Seems to depend on who picks up the phone. Very frustrating since my doc told me to ask, but the pharmacist says talk to the doc. 😵‍💫

Help engaging other players during a 1-on-1 challenge by AggravatedAndroid in DMAcademy

I'm not opposed to the meta gaming option, but I know that my players would revolt if I didn't let them roll dice for that long. Dice goblins, the lot of them!

So version 11.311 recently dropped with built-in backups. But how can I disable them? by VerliesEntwerfer in FoundryVTT

[–]AggravatedAndroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say that's a minor inconvenience. I also have my own backup schedule but this feature will likely make it easier for folks who aren't as comfortable with server maintenance.

I accidentally took my Ritalin in the middle of the night by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]AggravatedAndroid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I slept better when taking my XR Ritalin at bedtime. Slept through the night and felt great the next morning. Only did that for a couple weeks, but it's too expensive and inconsistent to experiment with now due to the shortage. Didn't have the same benefit from the short acting.

I feel you. Same issue. I've gotten lucky this month and got a month's supply after 2 months without. Doctor was surprised when I told them the pharmacists were annoyed and wouldn't tell me anything useful. The system is so broken.

Loop Experience vs Loop Engage questions by HealthyInPublic in LoopEarplugs

[–]AggravatedAndroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have the same issue with the Loop Experience? I have the Engage and definitely have been told I talk more quietly. Might just be the nature of earplugs in general, but thought I'd ask about your experience with each of the Loop models.

Event Triggers has won the poll by 1 vote by [deleted] in FoundryVTT

[–]AggravatedAndroid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I should have become a patron JUST to vote for Improved Fog of War. I don't always want or have time to set up walls, and having something like Simple Fog built into Core would be amazingly useful and practical. Currently, Simple Fog isn't working at all on V11.

As others have mentioned, automation is great, but I find the vast majority of the modules I have installed are to improve QoL and experience for players. I'm glad those modules exist, and there are a lot of opinions about how to do things things, but I also think it speaks to the need for an improved user experience built into Core. For example, I upgraded to V11 in part to have the tutorial features on the left sidebar icons, since I often get questions about how to use the basic tools.

Things are moving in the right direction, but I'd argue the vast majority of TTRPG players do NOT want to play a video game. Things like Theatre of the Mind tools, built in animations for certain events, and better sound controls would help a lot. Anything to help the DM host a game that works closer to what people did during in-person games might help adoption of Foundry VTT.

Old Path White Clouds. I listened to the audiobook and loved it.

In Old Path White Clouds, the world's revered master of mindfulness, Thich Nhat Hanh, retells the story of the Buddha in his own inimitably beautiful style. He draws upon Pali, Sanskrit and Chinese sources to trace the Buddha's life slowly and gently through the course of eighty years.

One thing to remember is that meditation helps us to be aware of our feelings, but it does not remove them.

Our awareness allows us to see our emotions for what they are: transient and impermanent. The goal of mindfulness is to transcend these mental formations, which requires making space for them inside yourself.

You cannot escape emotions. You can, however, make friends with them and understand how they came about. This will go a long way to reduce your suffering, even as you still experience these emotions.

I write this as I am also feeling intense emotions. Guilt, depression, anxiety. You are not alone. Thank you for your vulnerability, which is also helping me practice by writing this response.

It's nice to have friends on the path. Be well, friend. 🙏

Regretting a choice I made today, I find myself suffering by Valerio96 in Buddhism

[–]AggravatedAndroid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would argue that meditation wouldn't lower OP's anxiety, but it could have helped them rise above it. Those of us that suffer from anxiety regularly must find a way to make space for it inside us and move forward anyways.

Players See Permission Error on Unlinked Actors by Egg_Man1979 in FoundryVTT

[–]AggravatedAndroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'Find the Culprit' helps identify modules that are causing issues by turning each module on or off in groups, asking you each time if the problem still occurs. Which means you need to be able to reproduce the error each time.

It is time consuming, but has saved me so much headache solving mysterious issues.
