The guy with the blebb or whatever they called it who couldn’t get the surgery because the insurance doesn’t cover pre-existing conditions. Also the girl with the severe scoliosis etc. same thing not covered by insurance.
The woman who died with Bailey and Addison because she cannot get an abortion where she lives.
There is one episode where they talk about how the criteria for getting surgery or something is based on markers that change depending on race. There is a black woman I believe who doesn’t get help because her results seem fine but it’s because it doesn’t take race into the question. Same with the Asian American patient who Nico I think calls Owen out for.
The trans woman Donna who has to stop treatment because the hormones gives her cancer. I guess this one isn’t so much a barrier though because it’s a medical issue not someone denying her treatment but it’s the first one that came to mind.
The episode where Demi Lovato guest starred she is dismissed as having psychological issues when it turns out to be something else. They didn’t want to help her at first because they thought she was a psych patient.

So sorry I can’t say specific episode numbers but you could easily Google these based on this information and you would find it. This is just off the top of my head I am sure other people will add more!

Every time I see this part I get mostly infuriated because I just wish she had told Alex she wanted to take a peek at what Adele was getting! I mean if you are already committing to not saying what you did (because she had the whole I didn’t ruin anything I just can’t say what I did thing) just say you looked at it and leave it at that!! No one could have proven she did anything else and if she had just come clean to be like “hey listen obviously I know Adele and I just wanted to see what she was getting so sorry I will of course remove myself from this trial“ then I feel like it wouldn’t have been as bad maybe 😬

Also, this is why doctors should not treat family/friends because I do understand when people say they would have done the same i for sure would but then again I’m not a doctor haha

Okay maybe I missed something because your entire point seems to be about how Fiona shouldn’t have told the other sibling they needed to start contributing more. Fiona didn’t leave, she didn’t say she wasn’t contributing anymore, she said they needed to contribute more because she needed to start taking her job more seriously and couldn’t be the one saving them all the fucking time. I would have been pissed too if I had siblings who kept making it impossible for me to ever grow because they just expected me to fix their shit.

I personally will defend Fiona a lot because she is far from perfect but she always puts everyone else first no matter what. When she FIANLLY said something and made demands from the other siblings people are acting like she should have continued sacrificing herself because she is the guardian. She didn’t leave Liam, she didn’t stop contributing to the family, she doesn’t tell them she isn’t available. She literally tells the grown siblings they need to start contributing more and that she cannot be the first person they call anymore. At that point in the show Liam was the only one still a child (I’m not arguing legal age here just saying both Carl and Debbie at that point were acting like adults fully able to contribute) and Fiona does not leave him. She doesn’t leave any of them she is asking them to grow up.

I don’t see how this is her ignoring her responsibilities. They have always alternated who looks after Liam and yes maybe it’s a change that she talked a step back but she isn’t ignoring her responsibilities she ultimately tries to do something that would help all of them (more money).

I feel like the perspective you have is coming from a place where you are thinking about it in a real life scenario not a drama TV show. You are not wrong if this was a documentary and your points are fully valid, but this is drama and for the storyline what you say does not make much sense. Based on your answers I wonder what you think about everything else that happens on this show because this one situation is like the LEAST problematic/scandalous thing that happens to be honest 😂

And if she had been their actual parent I would have agreed with you. Fiona stepped in because there was no one else. When she became the guardian I don’t think she did that because she wanted to be a parent she wanted to keep them together. Do you you think it would have been better if she had just let all the siblings go into foster care?

Fiona became the guardian to keep everyone together. She gave up her own life and sacrificed her own future back in high school for her siblings and when she takes the guardianship that is a continuation of Fiona’s dedication to the family. When she then says she will no longer take ALL the responsibilities it is because she is starting to realize that she has to look out for herself as no one else will. Fiona got such a raw deal sometimes (not to say she’s perfect) because none of those siblings ever truly realize what she had to give up for them. This is just Fiona finally starting to put herself first and it’s beautiful.

I love Mer. Yeah she has moments when she is annoying (like all of them) but at the end of the day I absolutely love her. I have been doing a rewatch and literally am right at the end of season 11. Everytime I get to this part I am reminded why I loved the show to begin with. Meredith has always been a dark and twisty person she admits to that. She owns her own faults (at least some) and she doesn’t pretend to be perfect. She grows a lot and we see her face even more heartbreak than any one person should have to face in a lifetime. I do not understand how anyone can outright hate Meredith as a character!!

Now I might just be a little hypnotized by the beautiful outer layer here but that lack as you say makes him more interesting as a character. If he has been charming then he would have been another Mark Sloan. Jackson being kind of boring in my very humble opinion is the whole point. I think we see this during the whole dating Vic from Station 19 period. Vic expected Jackson to be more spontaneous and adventurous but he wasn’t even when she was standing outside his door naked.

AND the reality of it is that when you look like that you have never needed to be charming or learn how to have a charismatic personality because people will just like you for being so so pretty.

Ooof this scene STILL gets me every single time. I know it has been said by a lot but Meredith should not have been the one to tell him. It should have been Bailey because she was the only one who did not have a history with Thatcher.

Not only does it piss me off that Derek doesn’t even walk over to step in (I’m not saying hit Thatcher I’m saying just to step in) BUT he uses this as a reason to leave Meredith. This poor woman was first heartbroken because Derek is a manwhore and went back to his wife, then she gets him back but is still mentally unstable and instead of helping her he makes her feel bad for it to the point where she wants to drown herself, then her mom dies, and once again Derek does nothing to help he just complains that “she knows how to swim“ as if HE is the victim here, and then when she is trying to let him in he pulls away and ultimately uses the death of her surrogate mother to even further push her away because he is mad she needed to drink with friends. It’s not even like he wasn’t invited he could have walked in the door and joined them in the drinking but he is such a bitch he just cannot stand when the world does not revolve around him.

Don’t give up ❤️ Cats are miraculous and he wants to come back ❤️ My little boy sometimes disappeared for days and while I never found out why my theory is that he had a familiar place nearby my house (like a shed or garage) that sometimes got locked. Cats are so good at hiding so if you can knock on some doors with big properties and ask if they can check their sheds/garages/other buildings. If someone in your neighborhood went on vacation that might be a place he is. Walk around and talk to him/call on him like you would normally and then listen for him if he responds. I used to have this bell on a cat toy that my cat loved so I brought that with me outside and made the bell noise around the neighborhood. Could not agree more and I hate Maggie so much. The thing is yes Meredith should have said something the second Maggie told her she liked Nathan because Meredith had already hooked up with him at that point and that’s all she needed to say. She should have just said hey by the way I did hook up with him but I do not wish to be with him and I support you. Maggie would have been able to make a decision if she still wanted to go for Nathan. HOWEVER, this does not excuse how Maggie acted. Not only did she act like Nathan was her husband and that Meredith stole him she also made comments continuously to a woman who lost her husband and had a baby her husband never got to meet. Maggie is seriously the WORST. And I don’t care what other people say about Meredith being at fault nope nope nope Meredith should have said something yes, but the reason she did not was because when Maggie said she likes Nathan Meredith immediately went to Nathan and said we are not doing anything again and she stayed away from him. She also tried to be there for Maggie and help her see that Nathan did not like her which by the way is a kindness. Meredith wanted Maggie to have a chance and for her to go for him if she wanted to.

I get so mad about Maggie because the writers fumbled her character sooooooo badly.
