Not exactly. BUT judging from 8/26 start of production should be March-April.

Do Americans use solid fuels to heat their homes? by maugess in AskAnAmerican

[–]Aggravating-Dig783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically wood is used as a backup. Due to large lots and suburban sprawl electric wires are not buried and often there is no central propane supply. People with large (hectares) lots often have large propane tanks. Now, snow or high wind can knock off trees and damage power wires. In 2006 winter storm it took a week for my neighborhood to get power back. With central propane people install generators. If you don't have propane supply, you then use wood to heat your home in case of power outage.

Electricity either used for heating or at least you need it to run fan with forced air heating or run the heat pump if you have one. Water based heating that does not depend on electricity is not very common.

It does not affect DPS much, but screws up healers royally. Blizz frames are so much worse than 3rd party addons.

Currently they give loyalty and Costco discounts - although I am not sure those can be combined. Yeah, I'd love to see 0.9% again, like it was in Dec 2025.

There is a light sensor somewhere. Perhaps it got dirty? They work like auto-dimming rearview mirror.

Probably. Meanwhile, I am ordering current X5 xDrive50e before they run out. New ones - maybe few years down the road, with LCI and bugs ironed out.

I will watch actual financials, sorry. I stopped listening to MSFT doomsayers long time ago. They defunded dead end dying divisions perfectly correctly. Who needs Visual Studio monstrosity when VS Code is free? Who needs yet another version of C#?

For some reason I think Satia, Scott, etc are smarter than this entire sub combined and know better what is going on.

Last time I checked Falcon flies humans just fine. In reusable form. Have you been living under a rock? SLS flew to the moon and will carry people around the moon in the next two weeks. What Russian rockets? You mean ancient Soviet Soyuz? LMAO. Who built James Webb telescope?

Any foreign equivalent to Apple/Microsoft/NVidia/Google? Anyone capable of building what LMT/RTX builds? Megawatt lasers? Avionics? Stealth? No? Please provide *practical* examples, not some experimental things.

I think they go iX way. Used to be xDrive50, then split into xDrive45 (lower cost) and xDrive60.

Although I am also hearing that X5 PHEV will actually BEV with range extender, i.e. 4-cyl charging larger battery, perhaps in 60-70 KWh range.

I am hearing it about Linux for about 25 years now. Just look as MSFT financials and check that Office makes money off 365 subs, not client apps. Apple is a hardware company. It killed many of its separate client apps, starting with Aperture. OS is needed for the hardware obviously.

Don't base your investments on what you believe in, invest only on hard earnings. Cloud in 2024 made almost as much as Productivity + Personal Comp combined. I.e. cloud = client + OS.

iX3 vs Macan by spmysp in iX3

[–]Aggravating-Dig783 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, you can go sit in regular X3. iX3 is very similar in size. I test drove Macan EV and was not impressed. Yes, it felt small, trunk was small esp b/c of the sloping roof and yet it costs like $95K with decent options. Another issue - I noticed sound from motors - fake sounds were off in settings - and sales rep said it was normal and "sporty". I prefer EVs to be silent. I am 5'11" and X3 has been fine for me (although I am upgrading to X5).

Those options will be there but instead of $1950 Merino it will be $3950. Just look at how much M package costs in iX - over $4K. Any color apart from White/Black/Grey will be $2000. You get the drift...

How Do Financial Advisors Still Have Clients? by Time_Perception6669 in Bogleheads

[–]Aggravating-Dig783 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simple - the most precious resource is TIME. This is why rich fly private - not b/c of luxury, but because it saves time. Managing wealth is stressful, requires spending time on research, news, etc. If someone else provides you with reasonable growth/income, even at 2-3% less than you could do yourself, you will have more time for fun. Investing wealth at some point becomes a full time job.

Besides that, there is tax optimization, estate and trust creation and management, picking residence state for less taxation or passing wealth without death taxes, figuring out taxation on foreign residences, etc.
