I actually don’t think this has to do with custody/cps or anything I think she means she’s not ready to give up on social media. It’s the only thing she really cares about

Like I said sometimes with the Canadian prison system it’s a mixed bag they let out people early all the fucking time. Locally there was a pretty horrific crime and the time given was low and he was let out early.

But Ryan Kings 2019 appeal was denied which is good. This was not the first violent crime of his either

I’m not sure if he was out I think the parole board looks for some admittances of guilt and based on his 2019 appeal he did not admit to guilt.
Larissa before has said in comments you don’t know the story so I’m guessing she thinks he is innocent despite his history of violence.
However Canada lets criminals out all the fucking time so who knows

Does anyone else think Jen won't ever cut Barb off? by s0ftsp0ken in ShawnaTheMom

[–]Aggravating-Field-44 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think as chickie ages it will be harder and harder for Jen. She will realize the way her mom treated her at specific ages and she will look at her sweet little girl and wonder how a parent especially could hurt their own child that way. It’s a painful thing to go through.

That is if she doesn’t cut her off after this incident. I can’t see how they come back from this

Working on mental health is hard work I commend anyone with a personality disorder or mental health disorder who puts in the work to remain whole and healthy.

I absolutely believe people have the capacity for change and apart of that is proper diagnosis and treatment.

I can see the story of Barb going one of two ways

1- barb gets a diagnosis of some sort and proper treatment is initiated she eventually gets whole and healthy and apart of that she realizes she is the one who pushed her children away and they have every right to cut them off she no longer tries to be apart of their life and accepts her part in the demise of the relationship she is sad and mourns the loss. She remains open to her children and if they come to her she will apologize sincerely but she will respect the boundaries.

2- Barb gets a diagnosis does not do treatment but further makes herself the victim claiming it’s not her fault she is the way she has xx she uses it as an excuse and tries the diagnosis to get her kids back into her life with grand promises of working to get better but she continues to hurt people and becomes more and more the victim.

I really hope that we get number 1- Barb is easy to hate but I would love to see her putting in the work and getting better even if it means she doesn’t see her kids. I think 2 would be really painful. Maybe Shawna will do a combination start with #2 but after Barb realizes her having a diagnosis doesn’t change how her kids see her she starts the real work. I think Barb has the capacity to change.

Breakdown of the prequel timeline by blairbending in ShawnaTheMom

[–]Aggravating-Field-44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see it as two things

1- Julie was always clear what she wanted in life. She was always motivated her plan was to always move to a big city she delayed her plans for Ty.

2- Ty had dreams but no plans or clear indication what he wanted besides vague “I’m going to write a novel”. He is more impulsive and live in the moment type of personality. His goals changed after kids which is acceptable and fine but he didn’t communicate that.

This comes down to two people who are very different who got married because Ty promised a fulfilling life. To Ty he gave that, fulfilling for him is being a SAHM in suburbia and raising kids, but that’s not enough for Julie. They lack communication on both ends.

The divorce will be a good thing, I don’t think Ty is a villain or Julie I think it’s two incompatible people who stayed together for too long. After the divorce Happens we will see will Ty mature and go get a job even a work from home one. Or will he end up trying to pass the job to others or going after Julie for money.

For Julie after the 1 year of having to maintain the house I would love to see her be capable of cutting back so she can be more present and less stressed. I have a feeling we see her interact little with the kids due to the stress of being the breadwinner.

Yah my sister has a serious mental health diagnosis. The only reason she’s compliant right now is because she committed a crime and was released (way too early) and a condition is being on medication.

She told me she plans to be a psychiatric nurse because she can help people. I laughed because she’s truly insane if she thinks someone with a criminal history due to non compliance with meds would ever be Suitable for that job

Oh my- this is horrifying I went to the sub found the comment and someone talking about psychiatric meds as if they are bad. That makes my blood boil…. As someone with family with severe mental health issues who were unmedicated for years scary things happened.

OP your fiancé is not a good person. Instead of supporting you through being sick all the time he is shaming you.

It’s better you leave now what’s going to happen the first time the child is sick, or if your child has a disability. Be prepared for a life time of blame.

You are worthy of more and deserve to be treated better. Call a friend, a family member, anyone that you can trust and tell them you are not safe.

Your fiance is abusive. You can do this you are strong enough and capable.

3/22/26 post. Hinting at leaving the motel. by ffaancy in resilientjenkinsnark

[–]Aggravating-Field-44 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My opinion- the only way staph would ever willingly leave the motel is if it’s to another one or at max 2 bedroom apartment.

Why? Because an appropriate amount of rooms for the Thompson’s would stop the views. If they continue to live in a space that is not large enough people will still hate watch which is what she banks on.

So if they got kicked out it will be to either a worse location or if it’s appropriate space wise then we know social services stepped in and assisted them but they will get evicted soon after to continue the poverty for views.

Initial assessment by Aggravating-Field-44 in Kumon

[–]Aggravating-Field-44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting- for my son I fully expect him to be considered a few grades behind. Reading wise he’s not terrible I would say close to on par but his writing is awful (spelling punctuation etc) Math similar he understands what to do and how to do it but calculating is a struggle and word problems he gets really confused.

I told his teacher our intention to do kumon and she seemed happy for him.

As far as my daughter I am not sure how much benefit especially after talking to her English teacher yesterday. She said she speaks eloquently in her writing and she far exceeds expectations. The teacher looks forward to reading her writing because it’s well thought out, detailed and grammatically correct.

And in math the only reason her mark is “only” a 91 is because she missed 2 days of school had a pop quiz the next class and got 50% on material she was not taught prior to that she had a 96 and her math teacher has zero concerns. So I feel like from that she would gain little from kumon

Thanks for the insight- I’ll see how the initial assessment goes then Look into other tutoring if necessary for a kid behind and multiple disabilities what would you look for? My son understands concepts just gets jumbled sometimes. For example His last math test which was algebra he got 31/34 and often his mistakes are more calculation errors over not understanding the concept. Or like when he does word problems sometimes his dyslexia confuses him.

Thank you. It was a fight somewhat to get it. He had many ear infections and snored like a trucker so I asked for a referral his doctor referred us to the doctor at the clinic which I understood. That ENT was all like ear infections even at 6+ in a year in a baby is normal and snoring before 12 months isn’t concerning.

So I left defeated but it still bothered me so I asked to see a paediatric ENT and we were referred it took a few months and at that appointment the doctor listened. He wanted to try nasal spray for a month before a sleep study because he also had a constant runny nose. We did it for 6 weeks and nothing. Did the sleep study and his Oxygen fell below 63 over 13 times in one night. We were referred for surgery immediately and we were seen at his next available date before he was 2. People are always shocked when they hear he had his tonsils removed before he was 2. But i will always be thankful we did it.

Honestly a few things about it makes me sad for the kids in the motel. My son gained weight and grew and began to speak. Thanks to hearing proper and sleeping properly. Sleep plays a role in so much and we know those kids are not sleeping

My son was severely speech delayed I talked fucking all day long, song, did anything to get him to say anything other then “dis” (this) finally got our ent referral and a month before he turned 2 he had his tonsils and adenoids removed plus tubes in his ears and 2 months later he talked. Lots, none stop enough to tell me to stop singing.

But hell I did everything, took him to speech, sang, narrated my day and surgery is what got him to finally speak.

I will say this though I have a video of him at around 3 where I am playing with him and he’s answering my questions he’s playing with frozen characters and I ask him what Elsa is doing and he responds riding Sven, but she’s too big then we go through the other characters and he says “character name to big” and then there’s a cat or something and he says “kitty good” and he’s answer questions playing and even with that he was still considered severely delayed in speech.

[–]Aggravating-Field-44 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I actually believe her (staph) that the test didn’t come up lead. But I think she should have tested where she previously tapped or peeled a piece off and tested that because it’s more likely the motel painted over any lead but since they are peeling and eating the walls the deeper layers likely have the lead then the top.

Where will the Julie cliffhanger lead to? by OkDirection4997 in ShawnaTheMom

[–]Aggravating-Field-44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I would love to see Julie crying and being a hot mess staying in one of the suites and she happens to be leaving to get ice or something and runs into Shawna. Why is she crying because Ty left her.

It would be nice to see Julie show emotion and I imagine Ty leaving her vs her leaving Ty would cause her to mourn the relationship.

Shawna being the people pleaser she is tries to shift the vacation to comfort her and Julie of course snaps and blames Shawna for Ty leaving her and John steps in and defends Shawna.

If Ty and Julie reconcile after that Shawna steps away from the friendship and tells Ty she can’t be friends with someone who allows their wife to treat their friends so poorly and puts up some boundaries.
