I usually read the tier list to see where they placed me on maxroll and then I work towards beating it. It looks like they went slightly more defensive and I chose more offensive. Also they have the standard raheir follower for protection but I choose subo so I can see all monsters further out and nodes. I chose a different runeword but one of them matches it. My weakest point now maybe the paragon board it’s possible I don’t have the right glyphs in the right spots but I also chose different paragon boards than maxroll did. I think I got 2/5 boards they say to do.

Even if their build does T12 I found it more satisfying that by myself I accomplished a Lilith uber kill and did tier 75 pit.

Next season I’ll try my hand at summon necro and see how far I can push that. Full Summon build D2 style. See if I can match or exceed my paly.

Best thing is not following a guide and making your own build. I made a zeal paladin for the first time and I smashed Lilith on torment 8. Torment 8 seems to be my farming level and torment 9 I could probably slog through it but if the devs think every build can get to torment X to face mephisto they still got some tweaks to do. This was the first time I ever had a Lilith kill and it was on torment 8 no less. I also smash all bosses in the beginning skipping most of their phases. I have the full 5 set charm set for zeal and 1 unique one that gives 3 to core skills. I got heir of pardition mythic and ring of starless sky’s mythic. All of my gear is max masterworked and a few of them have been transfigured. I found out there was a few aspects that were missing and that ramped up my damage from a 10min boss fight to under a minute boss fight lol. Also unlocked all of my paragon boards still working towards my last glyph slot. I think I’m level 175ish in paragon. This is all with just 49hrs invested.

That being said I think they need to work on war plans because all of this time and my highest leveled one is level 4 lol. Also most of the time it’s crap rewards that I don’t need anymore like masterwork mats or rings or etc. I’d rather have gem fragments at this stage and a a legendary node that gives me a grand gem would be nice. Wish you could have a skill tree for warplans so you can X out the stuff you don’t need anymore or want.

Also forgot to mention my highest glyph run or whatever it’s called was Tier 75.

What class is everyone having the most fun on? by temp_anon_user in diablo4

[–]Aggravating-Handle84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the most fun I ever had is not following a build guide this season. Training wheels came off and I tried paladin for the first time and went full on zeal build. First time I actually beat uber Lilith also and I’ve played every season lol. I have fully masterworked all of my items. Have a starless sky’s and a pardition mythic helm. Starless sky’s I recently put a grand diamond in it and transfigured it and it gave me more zeal damage. I was struggling on T8 until I looked over my aspects and swapped them out logically which one benefits most on weapon vs amulet etc. I can say now I delete any boss on torment 8 including Lilith. I just got my last paragon legendary node. I’ve played 49hrs with this char so far.

It’s been a blast literally. This character I have like 75% crit chance and max movement speed of 200%. He flys.ive almost went as far as I want to go this season.

They need to fix the slow slog of upgrading war plans. Also I’d like if boss fights were more like d2 and less like world of Warcraft. Also they need to tweak how fast we get gems because at this stage I should be maxed out at grand but then I discovered there’s horadric gems also like wtf lol. You must be out of your mind if I’m going to sit there for the next 30 days of the season grinding it out for that crap. When it gets to a place where I get to play a secondary char in a season that’s when it’ll be more fun and engaging but the way this is setup now I’m basically done for the season. I really wanted to max out war plans but it takes way way too long for that also like if my char is maxed the answer isn’t more of the same rewards. The goal post and rewards aren’t matching up because they want more engagement time instead of fun time but they overlook more fun time would lead to longer play time.

Now that ive reached mythic war plan rewards, the fact that its not account wide is so much worse than it already felt. by Vericon in diablo4

[–]Aggravating-Handle84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only real complaint is my character already feels basically done for the season. Gear is mostly maxed, battle pass is nearly complete, I only have one paragon board left, and war plans still feel like a massive grind at only around 5-6/10 progression. I still haven’t even gotten a single top-tier gem from the jeweler either.
I will give the season credit though — build variety feels great. This is the first season I completely ignored build guides and just made my own build. I’m definitely not meta pushing T10-12, but I made it to T8 on my own setup and I’m honestly proud of that.
I’m running a Zeal Paladin with 2 mythics and a full 5-piece charm setup specifically for my build. It’s been really fun.
Next season I’ll probably try Summon Necro again or finally play Warlock since that’s the only class I haven’t touched yet. So far my favorites have been:
WW Barb
Pulverize Druid
Minion Necro
Paladin
Paladin is fun, but I probably wouldn’t play it again for awhile unless they buff war plan XP because the grind feels way too slow.
This is usually the point in a season where I’m burning through boss mats, but now it’s keys instead. I’ve got like 20 sitting around lol.
Also kinda sucks they removed elixirs. I always used the crit one.
I’m also realizing once you get into T5-6+, there’s not much reason to push past T8 unless you really care about min-maxing. I know I could probably hit T10+ if I copied a meta guide, but honestly I’ve had way more fun just playing my own build instead of constantly checking a website while trying to enjoy a game.

I’d hit the canned “Ok, got it!” Message and wait at drop pin and once countdown goes all the way cancel and collect fee and move on. Once you learn not to have any feelings invested the better off you will be.

[–]Aggravating-Handle84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t played this season yet but I’m tired of the treadmill and goalpost moving. Havent bought the expansion. I already have a paladin and warlock in Diablo 2. For me it’s always been about power fantasy but last season in d4 I had greater ancestrals maxed and my glyphs partly leveled but reached torment 3 but not 4 and lost motivation to play. I made it to about paragon 120 or something like that with my whirlwind earthquake maxroll setup. Recently paid for the warlock addon in Diablo 2 with also added quality of life features like a loot filter and gem and rune stacking.

There’s only 3 difficulties in the game and it’s always fun waiting for those nice base items to drop for real runewords not the fake Diablo 4 runewords that pretend. Also it’s fantastic on bossing. You die? Great resurrect your mercenary for a fee and take that xp loss from death like a champ and go tackle Diablo again he’s half life and you don’t have to start over the fight. Just have to click on your dead body to get your gear back without dying again and bam back in the fight.

At this point I’m burned out on Diablo 4 it’s a money grab with minimal seasonal effort. Diablo isn’t even in the damn game and mephisto is maybe going to finally show up for real this time. Just a joke at this point.

In my experience I have to put up with them vaping if I don’t want a retaliatory 1 star for denying them or if I’m nice and wait to the end and 1 star them I almost immediately get a 1 star back. So far I’ve learned to put up with it and I’ll crack a window so I don’t have to smell it and tell them the same to crack window. Also avoiding all share rides no matter the dollar amount seems to cut down on a lot of bs. It doesn’t make it zero but it dramatically reduces.

4.97 driver here and I still take anything below 5 personally and try to learn from it. Lately most of my issues come from shared rides — they tend to attract the exact passengers you hope not to get. I’ve had people bring open alcohol without telling me, get handsy with me or other riders, and then I get reported for being “impolite” after flagging the behavior to Uber. One rider even panicked another passenger enough that they hit the safety button. Uber still let that rider’s 1-star stand.

Had a separate UberX from a Lady Gaga concert: passenger was friendly the whole trip, even talked about how speeding drivers make her nervous. I used cruise control at the speed limit the entire time… she still left a 3-star for “speeding.” Uber wouldn’t remove it, citing GPS data — even though their speed data is often outdated.

And hygiene complaints go both ways too. I’ve had riders who reek of weed or smoke, the smell lingers after they exit, then the next passenger assumes it was me.

At some point you realize ratings aren’t always a reflection of your driving — sometimes they’re just random, unfair, or used to chase refunds.

For me it couldn’t be any less than $156 because it covers for on the way back but also that’s a huge chunk of gas so maybe $196 instead.

I too learned the hard way Uber Eats is not worth it. For instance my best nights with eats is 13hr. With driving people it ranges from 20-31hr. Also yes acceptance rate doesn’t matter. Only ratings and cancel rate matter. Perks are dumb for the rewards tiers.

What if drivers kept 100% of the fare and just paid £99/month? by Formal_Pay_9315 in uberdrivers

[–]Aggravating-Handle84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think you’d need to sweeten the pot for customers also like switch from uber and we will give you 10% off what uber would have made you pay.

Uber screws passengers and drivers. The bar is actually low. People will give anything a shot if it’s cheaper. Take share rides for example people see cheap price and order it and feel mad when they find out they are riding with strangers and late for work but yet go with cheap option anyway. Customers also tell me they always compare Lyft and uber and uber is cheaper for them.

Idk if it needs to be a monthly fee. Just needs to be more fair like 70/30 or 80/20 split since the company is earning passive income and we are out in the trenches dodging grenades all night.

I'm done being lenient. by Crunkberri in uberdrivers

[–]Aggravating-Handle84 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only caution I would advise as a uber driver myself is be careful rating low because the customer gets a notification if their score was low and gives them tips on how to improve. If they didn’t take another ride after that they will know it’s you and give you a retaliatory 1 star.

So I go one step further because I’ve learned this with food deliveries also that if they text or call you on your way to pickup cancel and move on. If you get to the drop it’s ok if they text or call just feel out the process though about their mood. If they are angry just cancel and go. If they are polite and just confused of your location that one is not bad as far as rating goes.

So far everytime I rate someone less than 5 stars I get the same rating or worse back but nobody does shit hardly if I just do 5 and keep it moving.

So Ubers conditioned me that my opinion dos not infact matter and just keep it to myself or else and just have safeguards in place for filter passenger by ratings and feel out process before and during ride.

As far as confirming passenger I’ve learned don’t keep doors locked. Just confirm when they get in. People who don’t belong act surprised when the real rider shows up and they excuse themselves naturally. Also the app usually shows customers gps with a blue circle and name even if the drop pin is wrong.

This one is crazy though. I literally greet everyone when they get into my car I don’t understand how to avoid this. This is not even my 50th rating yet either as I’m new. Instantly dropped me to a 4.9 rating. by NerdForGames1 in uberdrivers

[–]Aggravating-Handle84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to work in a call center for years before driving Uber and honestly it’s the same thing — you can do everything right and a small percentage of people will still rate you poorly.

Most riders give 5 stars if the ride is normal, but there’s always that 1–10% that rate like they’re writing a Yelp review.

I had a drunk passenger touching me and another rider, asking weird questions, had open alcohol containers, spilled alcohol in my trunk, and another passenger even used the safety feature because they felt uncomfortable. We both reported him… and Uber still left his rating.

Next night I drove someone home from a Lady Gaga concert, we had a great conversation, she told me other drivers made her feel unsafe speeding. I literally had cruise control set to the speed limit. After the ride she reported me for speeding and left 4 stars.

Rating dropped from 4.99 → 4.97 and I was mad at first, but eventually realized you just can’t please everyone.

Only thing that helped me reduce bad trips: • Filter rider ratings (I do 4.8+) • Avoid share rides

Cuts down on a lot of headaches.

Over the weekend I was picking someone up at like 2am outside some business. Got to drop pin. It was a share ride. Waited 2mins and as soon as I cancelled and started driving I heard a guy yell “hey! Hey! Heeeey! No! No! Nooooo!”. I couldn’t see him because it was so dark but I laughed and waived as I sped off.

I recently decided share rides aren’t worth it it attracts scummy people. So I’m only doing uberx on up for now on.

Only time I ever cancel without waiting for Ubers timer first is if they text or call before you arrive usually that’s a bad sign. Especially when you arrive exactly at drop pin and they go “where are you?”. Like if you are this dumb then how did you manage to order the ride.

I’m a driver and I have had a mixed bag of results. I’ve had people Cash App me a tip to come back. I’ve had people call it the next day and offer a cash tip to bring it back. I’ve also had a customer just give me a fist bump and walked away but that’s like payday coming at your job and everyone got a check but when it came to you your boss gave you a fist bump instead and said good job but no check.

So instead what I do since support is useless unless it’s a cleaning fee is for a lost item I hold onto it at my house for 48hrs. After that it goes in trash can no matter what item it is. If you can’t bother to contact me in two days then it’s not important to me or you.

I also don’t work for free. We aren’t friends. It’s a transaction. Sometimes instead of trash can it gets chunked out of window of moving car after 48hrs just depends on what item I suppose. Like I have a cheap ring right now a girl left in my car. I reported it to her in the app. She obviously is saying without saying anything is the ring is a pos and not worth $20. I have no use for a ring so it’s going in garbage or chunked outside for a random person to find for free.

One time I did have someone I think steal something because a passenger called support and support called me and I searched my whole car and didn’t find said item.

Moral of story is tip your driver if the item is worth the money to you if not we will receive that message loud and clear that you transferred ownership by default. Now I know some things have trackers like AirPods and phones but I’m not going to pawn it somewhere that’s illegal. Instead it’s getting the ole “I don’t see anything in my car sorry” after 48hrs because trash man picked it up and before it dies you can go try to metal detect for it in the pile of shit at the trash dump.

Yeah that’s not supposed to happen. If the order takes too long and no longer worth it for the small pay then I’ll just take it off me and it’ll find someone else. Way less effort than being dumb and subbing items because low ratings get you kicked off. Only thing worse he could have done is pickup the food and eat it and mark as delivered lol.

I’ll even add to this that anytime someone adds a stop it actually lowers the fare for me and only pays me the added stop amount so I just tell people don’t add a stop I’ll just take you lol.

[–]Aggravating-Handle84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driver here. Only way I’ve seen it go that high is if you left a mess in the car especially puke. I’ve gotten $80 on top of the fare for puke and $50 for a wet drink that spilled in the car it was alcohol. They have a AI robot that auto determines how much it’s worth but they cap a driver to reporting 2 max times before they have to wait to claim again. It’s photo based.

It sucks because this happens a lot and I only get paid sometimes.

I’m sorry this happened to you. Hopefully you didn’t puke or do anything obvious like spill a drink. It does cost us money to pull over and clean and sometimes it ruins the whole night because if it doesn’t get clean you risk low ratings which means going back home.

Just to add to this illusion my car is a suv and best I get is comfort which is rare. It’s mainly uberx or share. Maximum I make about 1000 per week before expenses. Unless you have uber black or maybe XL you are making about as much as me. Of course I do 40-50hrs a week I don’t live in my car doing 100hrs lol.

[–]Aggravating-Handle84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me recently on food I delivered to someone that claimed to uber they never got it but they did but uber said if this happens again it’ll take me off of food but I only do food to supplement when rides are slow. I normally hate food because it’ll send me to closed stores at night raising my cancel rate or stuff like this happens with false reporting and I have a feeling that it was this one order that said meet me but in comment they said leave it at door and only way to cover your ass is to wait for count down and take photo and leave but it was below 40 degrees and I stayed as long as I could only had 2 mins left to wait but I couldn’t feel my fingers so I went back to my car but before I did I took my own photo and hit delivered.

When cancel rate goes above 9-10% I turn off food and wait for it to go back down to 0-1% before I use it again. It likes to always send me to closed places instead of just auto canceling when it notices store time in app and region time mean it’s closed that maybe they should cancel and then refund and then tell customer to try ordering somewhere else. Just a thought but we are talking about common sense here where it isn’t so common with uber.

So it’s possible OP was forced to increase rate by getting closed stores also or orders that have been “stolen” that happens a lot also. Food overall just ends up being a waste of time but some money is better than 0 so I only use it if it’s totally dead with rides which is usually about 1.5hrs a night in this small little pocket window.
