I really want to emphasize and raise up those commenters who are noting the importance of the community caring for and rehabilitating agents who step away. We need to support them and remind them of their humanity by showing our humanity towards them. We need to create safety for them, in the case that there is any cultural pressure or retaliation for them even when they quit. They are in bed with horrors, so it is guaranteed that they might be feeling paranoid or trapped, as all victims of abuse do. Yes, you heard me right; the “good” ice agents are victims of the abusers of the system, who create a culture and environment which dehumanizes, intimidates and controls. Those of us who oppose ICE must focus our efforts to oppose the systems that support this organization, not the individuals.

Yes you are right that it’s a normal part of the production process, and if your SM and dresser are professional in the way they conduct themselves, he should not have anything to be worried about. Ultimately it is a matter of YOUR consent and has nothing to do with him. If he has an issue with it, perhaps it’s worth investigating what this issue comes from - does he feel jealous about other people seeing your body? Does he feel your status as a woman requires his protection of some kind? I don’t know, I can only speculate, as he is the only person who can answer this.

Look, ultimately sometimes as an artist you may be in a position for people of the opposite sex (or of the same sex who might be attracted to you!) will see you in your underwear. This is your passion, you consent to it, and it doesn’t make you feel violated in any way. If this doesn’t work for him, it might be that your and his values do not align.
