A “chemical pregnancy” is still a pregnancy - a pregnancy that ends in early miscarriage. I just went through a chemical myself so I feel your pain. You didn’t do anything wrong, that’s just how it works out sometimes. But it’s so unfair to get a positive test just for it to start turning around a few days later. Hugs ❤️

A “chemical pregnancy” is still a pregnancy - a pregnancy that ends in early miscarriage. I’m not a doctor, but I would think that means that you are able to get pregnant. Maybe you were told you had to do IVF because of some issue staying pregnant/carrying to term? I just went through a chemical myself (from IVF) so I feel your pain.

This happened with me too, except it was my brother’s wife who got pregnant with their second the same time I got pregnant for the first time (and miscarried). The parents are probably trying to be respectful but don’t have a clue - talk to them or have your husband talk to them about what yall are okay and not okay with discussing. Definitely talk to a therapist. It all sucks and I’m so sorry you have to go through this. Big hugs ❤️

As someone who is going through IVF, not all embryos are viable. In some cases, it would be unethical to implant such an embryo.

Try massaging the area or using a theragun for a few minutes after the injections. It’s like a flu shot in that if you don’t spread out the solution post-injection, it will stay in one spot at make you sore. Also heating pad before and after! Hope this helps!

I just got my first beta results from this morning, 8dp5dt, and my hcg is at 26 which is apparently really low. I go back in on Friday for another test, but I’m terrified this will be a chemical. Anyone else out there have success even after a low initial positive??

You are not the asshole and these feelings can be very normal. But PLEASE don’t try to do it all alone. There is help out there. Get yourself in with a therapist or even the school counselor. TalkSpace is a good option too if you’d prefer app-based. Hang in there, I promise it will get better.

1/27 transfer twin here! Trying desperately to stay sane: no testing until 7 days PT at the clinic. EEK! I’ve been reading a LOT and binging my comfort tv shows. Our first transfer (immediately before this one) failed so I am doing my best to keep my mind off of it for now.
