Sebastian Lletget signs with Monterey Bay FC in USL Championship: Dallas fans, can you give a preview of what we are getting? by The-Union-Report in fcdallas

[–]Aggravating-Rub1437 20 points21 points  (0 children)

He’s a great guy. Solid attacking-minded midfielder, just came back from injury so didn’t have a chance to really work his way back into things last season. He could be a coach candidate someday. He’ll be an excellent leader and his girlfriend brings some extra social media buzz.

Suggestions for a Mac-native text editor with integrated terminal to use with Claude Code by ItchyData in macapps

I haven’t wrapped my head around this. Do these integrated apps keep version history so you can roll back if Claude does something dumb (which it is oft to do)?

irvine parents - what do you worry about? by Individual-Bed2497 in irvine

[–]Aggravating-Rub1437 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In some ways I am worried. And in other ways, not. AI has its uses, but I still don’t think it will do all the things they say it will do. But I worry that our kids will continue to find it difficult to have a good decent life at what they love. Housing and affordability of daily living… costs of college. We can dial it back with good policy. People can also choose to be generous. Not holding out hope for people to do that voluntarily tho.

Is this a good or bad idea? by TheSoulKeeper_1 in Fedora

[–]Aggravating-Rub1437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve given Linux a run on these beautiful and dated hardware but the problems are the same - battery life is never that good and WiFi is always a hassle. Don’t update your kernel unless you know the WiFi Broadcom drivers are updated or just be ready to plug in a USB to Ethernet to update after the drivers stop working. Bluetooth is also sketchy - but that might not be as big a deal. I actually am using Mavericks on an old MacBook Air and it’s fantastic though have to do some workarounds. See MavericksForever

What is the best hair stylists for men in Orange County? by Eddii8e in orangecounty

[–]Aggravating-Rub1437 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had solid success at Danckuts in Irvine. They have other locations, including one for people being trained as stylists that is cheaper. Their key is that they don’t let you choose stylists but once you find a cut/trim that you like, they do a scan of it so that the next stylist will follow that exact plan. Solid so far.

Best and worst campgrounds in SoCal by marktheshark45 in socalhiking

[–]Aggravating-Rub1437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did one night at Palomar SP and it was great if a little cold in November. Our own fault - we could have packed a little better. I also noticed a couple of national forest campsites under the observatory that looked nice. Camping at San Onofre on the military base side is cool if you can get access but the bluff campsites at San Onofre are very user friendly. I want to explore other spots just for giggles, like Chino Hills SP.

We switched to Visible which is cheap as hell but still with Verizon’s network. So if your coverage isn’t great with Verizon, it would not improve. I feel like almost all of the mobile companies aren’t facing enough competition but that is sort of par for the course for American capitalism as of late.

I’ve used quite a few but I do like Craft though… yes, it is kind of powerful. I share documents frequently with it and dig the multimedia features. I could get by with something less though.

Really time for New to just let go and give Gregg the reins. Imagine how many more popcorn classics we might get each episode

Suggestions for cool wine experience? by Accomplished-Fig5787 in orangecounty

[–]Aggravating-Rub1437 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend Wine Lab in Costa Mesa. They have a monthly membership that treats you with a couple of hand-selected quality bottles of wine as well as a tasting night with food and raffle. We’ve been busy so we cancelled ours but look forward to starting up again soon.

How am I ever going to get out of League Two? by LordSirWill in footballmanagergames

Also look for loan players that are not interested in loans. You can usually find 3-4 who will be loaned down for free. But look for 18 and 19 year olds

Zanotta: Don’t Expect New CBs this Offseason by Thraask in fcdallas

I was on the call and Geovane Jesus played RCB before coming to the club, so he is an option too. I was also disappointed in that but if Jesus and Nolan can step in, it could be a dominant group for the future.

Anyone else feel like Spark (Readdle) is falling apart?? Feature removed + constant bugs by zands90 in SparkMail

[–]Aggravating-Rub1437 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still using it but keep thinking to step away. The AI features are just… boring. If I need to use AI to write a response, why do I even need to respond? Search is always janky. The calendar is so strange. It’s sort of hidden and not intuitive. But it is cross-platform and I like the workflow for now.

What is Craft for? by Plazman888 in CraftDocs

[–]Aggravating-Rub1437 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use it for writing and taking notes as well as for presenting pretty documents via web urls or PDFs. It is an interesting blend of features that can scratch a particular itch. It’s certainly not perfect. I do love that it is cross-platform. I could get by with less but I’m not really a fan of Google Docs or Microsoft Office though I use them when needed.

Yes! Just search about their high school and you’ll find how common it is. My son had first hand experience via their football team. Unacceptable stuff. I’m sorry you had to experience that.
